Shannon Beador stepped out with her dog, a Golden Retriever named Archie, in Laguna Beach, California, on Friday, where the Real Housewives of Orange County star, 59, appeared to be wearing a cast on one of her arms.
Two weeks after her DUI and hit-and-run arrest, and amid an investigation by the Newport Beach Police Department’s animal control unit, Shannon, 59, was photographed in a gray University of Southern California sweater and black pants.
As RHOC fans will likely recall, Archie was in the car with Shannon prior to her September 16 arrest, which prompted an investigation from the NBPD’s animal control unit, who is said to be “looking into” the incident and potential endangerment of Archie.
“We don’t have animal endangering laws like you would with children but we do have animal cruelty laws, so he’s going to look into that a little bit further,” Sgt. Steve Oberon told Page Six last month.
During the time of her arrest, Shannon requested Archie be “dropped off at someone’s house to take care of it while she was dealing with her situation.” And because the animal did not appear to have any injuries, the officers on the scene agreed to do so.
Although it was not confirmed where the dog had ended up, he likely was taken to Shannon’s ex-boyfriend John Janssen’s house. John has been known to watch the dog for Shannon. And in the weeks since her arrest, they’ve been seen together on a number of occasions.
As John continues to support Shannon, others are concerned.
“Everyone in Newport knows,” a friend told Radar Online.
According to the insider, Shannon used to be out nearly every night, and now, her inner circle is worried she may be “depressed,” saying she’s “not happy” since moving into a condo after her 18-year-old twins, Stella and Adeline, left town for college.
“Hopefully, this is a wake-up call,” the source shared, noting that they believe Shannon’s arrest was her “rock bottom.”
In recent photos obtained and shared by Page Six on September 30, Shannon attempted to keep a low profile with Archie as she kept her allegedly bruised face hidden under a pair of large-framed sunglasses.

On an episode of Watch What Happens Live last week, Heather said, “I’m glad no one was hurt. That’s the most important thing and I hope that Shannon continues to take some space and figure out her next steps.”
Meanwhile, on an episode of her podcast around the same time, Gina admitted to feeling bad for her castmate.
“It’s not a good place to be, mentally, emotionally … You do have this platform and this celebrity, and you make a really bad decision, and you think, ‘Well, that’s it for me.’ I’m just glad everybody’s okay. But, like, it sucks. It’s hard and I feel bad. I feel bad for her,” she said.
The Real Housewives of Orange County season 17 reunion begins airing on Wednesday, October 4, at 8/7c on Bravo.
