Carl Radke appeared on Tuesday’s Watch What Happens Live, where he revealed a message he received from a friend of Ciara Miller‘s, who expressed concern about West Wilson and Amanda Batula‘s relationship before their romance confirmation in March.

As he also reflected on an “off” encounter he had with West, 31, and Amanda, 34, before they went public, confirmed the communication he’s had with them, and shared whether he thought they would last, the 41-year-old Summer House star looked back on their summer in the Hamptons, reacted to Kyle Cooke‘s “victim” portrayal, and addressed a potential romance with Bailey Taylor, 31.

“I had been hearing things for maybe a week or two,” Carl revealed of the rumors about West and Amanda on the May 12 episode of WWHL. “One of Ciara’s very good friends that I’ve gotten to know texted me like maybe a month before the statement and said, ‘I think something’s like, weird here.’”

Although Carl initially wrote of the idea of a romance between his castmates, considering that he, too, had faced false claims, he noticed odd behavior from them while taping Hot Ones in mid-March.

“Amanda, as soon as the camera wrapped, she was gone. She’s like, ‘Alright, I’m out.’ And there was like a nervous energy,” he recalled. “Mia was there. Lindsay was there. We were all kind of keeping an eye. But the energy was off.”

Following the reveal of West and Amanda’s relationship, Carl said he received two text messages from West.

“I appreciate the text. But like I said, even things that I’ve learned over the last week has just been like, the stuff keeps piling on .. some housewife stuff that’s bubbled over … It’s messy,” he explained, citing Ciara’s claim that West slept with Jennifer Fessler, 57.

As for Amanda, Carl said they texted after the reunion.

“She wished me luck in London at the marathon. She wanted to try and catch up at some point. I think [Lindsay Hubbard] was gonna try and meet up with her, too, but I’m also just taking some time here,” he noted.

Then, after saying that West and Amanda would “absolutely not” last, Carl reacted to Tuesday’s episode of Summer House, which featured Amanda telling West he loved him after a dispute with her now-estranged husband.

“It’s uncomfortable to watch. Even just, I will say, some of West’s hands on a woman who’s married, I’m not cool with,” he stated. “You don’t touch women on their midriff or their neck if they’re in a committed relationship like that. I don’t care how friendly you are. Some of the touching, watching back, is really uncomfortable and not okay.”

Regarding his biggest “aha” moment, Carl signaled last week’s show.

“I think last week’s episode with [Mia Calabrese] and Amanda on the beach, I know how much Mia really cares for Ciara and what Amanda was saying, and then what we’re watching and dealing with now, it’s disappointing,” he admitted. “I do care for Amanda, but what I’ve seen in her over the last year and a half … something kind of changed last spring, even before we started filming. Her energy around Kyle was like he didn’t even exist.”

When a caller wanted to know why Kyle had been treated like the “victim,” despite his poor treatment of Amanda last summer, Carl said that both he and Amanda were in difficult places.

“There’s two sides of the story always. I think he was in a really difficult dynamic. So was Amanda. So I’m offering grace to both of them,” he shared. “Was Kyle great at times? No. But I know he was very dedicated to making that relationship work. He really tried to support her. I know some of those moments over the years, like him getting drunk and being out too late, probably wasn’t the greatest. But I don’t think he was cheating.”

“I think Kyle just gets drunk and has a good time and is like, out to just meet random people. I don’t know. It’s not the greatest thing, but I don’t think he’s actually cheating,” he added.

Also on WWHL, after admitting that he was still a “slight mess” when it came to “Scamanda,” Carl spoke of his relationship with Bailey.

“I mean, she’s great. We have a great friendship. I think what you saw this summer, I’m watching back differently now, but since the summer, it’s been friendly,” he confirmed. “We’ve hung out a lot, but it’s been friends.”

Summer House season 10 airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
