Lala Kent opened up about her relationship with Randall Emmett‘s ex-wife, Ambyr Childers, on their shared podcast on Sunday.
As she revealed whether or not they’d ever hooked up and shared if they’d gotten into fights, the 35-year-old star of The Valley confirmed how her daughter, Ocean, 5, handled her breakup with Randall, 55, and Ambyr, 37, discussed how her older daughters, London, 15, and Rylee, 12, reacted to Randall and Lala’s affair.
“I kissed [her] on the lips a couple weeks ago, but we’ve never hooked up,” Lala clarified on the May 24 episode of An Unlikely Affair, via Vanderpod Recaps on Instagram. “I find [her] very beautiful and attractive. But … let’s just even say that we were still in our drinking phase. There’s something about that that just like shifts.”
After Ambyr agreed it would “[change] everything” and admitted that she’d never hooked up with a girl, Lala said that the two of them had never “gotten into a fight.”
“I don’t see how I could ever be upset with you, and if I am, I’m going to say like, ‘That f*cking sucked. I didn’t like that,'” Ambyr noted.
And Lala agreed, saying, “I am fully capable of having a friendship where I can come to you and say, you know, ‘This bothered me, or this hurt me,’ because this is a safe space for me. I don’t need to lash out at you because I know that whatever we go through, your intent is never to hurt me.”
Regarding the children’s reactions to Randall and Lala’s relationship, Ambyr confessed that her girls were aware of how the romance began when their dad was still married to her.
“[But] because I think the kids love you, they were like, oh that’s cool,” Amybr recalled.
As for Lala and Randall’s daughter, Lala pointed out that she will have to one day explain herself.
“There obviously will be a day where she’s going to have questions, and I will answer them honestly, but I’m never going to be the one to say, ‘Sit down, we’re going to have a talk.’ She’s just going to naturally, as she gets older, understand what happened,” Lala reasoned.
Lala then admitted that London had a hard time with how she left, and she expressed interest in sitting down with her at some point, which Ambyr said she would “really like.”
Also on the show, Lala said that while she stayed in touch with London after her breakup from Randall, he ultimately blocked her number from London’s device.
The Valley season three airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
