Lindsay Hubbard is shutting down the idea that she defended Amanda Batula amid her controversial romance with West Wilson in an effort to save her gig on Summer House.
After a fan on Threads compared “Scamanda” to the scandal that rocked Vanderpump Rules years ago, suggesting that Lindsay, 39, was potentially hunting for a redemption arc for Amanda, 34, in an effort to keep the cast intact after her betrayal of both Ciara Miller, 30, and Kyle Cooke, 43, Lindsay set the record straight as she agreed that Amanda was guilty of manipulating the women of the show and compared her romance with West, 31, to a sinking ship.
“Dear Kyle, Lindsay, and the rest of the Summer House cast … Tread lightly trying to defend or redeem your castmates for your jobs. That did not work out for the Vanderpump Rules crew. Whole cast got replaced and [Ariana Madix] is still booked, busy, and unbothered. We stand with Ciara,” the fan had written.
But Lindsay denied any such thing.
“Wait sorry, who am I defending?” she replied.

Another person mentioned Amanda’s behavior over the past few years with the women of the show, including Lindsay, Ciara, and Paige DeSorbo, 33.
“I watched Amanda manipulate you plenty of times by saying her biggest complaint with Kyle is children because she knows that will pull at your heart strings. The same way she focused her complaints to Paige about financial independence & Ciara about cheating and emotional security. In the past, Amanda has picked each friend’s empathetic weakness and manipulated it for her own agenda motivating ‘flying monkeys’ against Kyle,” they stated.
“100% but my posts/thoughts last night and this morning were focused on West due to his recent/abhorrent comments and actions,” Lindsay explained, adding that her thoughts on Amanda would be shared on tonight’s bonus episode of season 10.

A third person on Threads mentioned that Amanda was turning a blind eye to West’s many red flags.
“What I want to know is why did Amanda STILL go to Italy with West when her ex and friends are convincing her this man is manipulative?” they asked. “If Hubbs is as honest with her as we imagine her to be … she’s still CHOOSING to travel to Italy and SPIT IN HIS MOUTH. At some point, you have to let the sinking ship, sink.”
“Correct,” Lindsay agreed. “After I talked to Amanda (on tomorrow’s episode)… once we wrapped, she told me she was still going to go to Italy. And that’s when I knew… (insert your last line here).”

Summer House: The Aftermath airs tonight, June 16, at 8/7c on Bravo, followed by In the City at 9/8c.
