Pinky Cole opened up about sharing her financial challenges on Bravo on Sunday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live.
As she also addressed claims regarding Shamea Morton, 44, allegedly cheating on husband Gerald Mwangi, commented on a potential takedown of K. Michelle, 44, and reacted to reports of her having a “wife in the basement,” the 38-year-old Real Housewives of Atlanta star revealed how her husband, Derrick Hayes, 36, felt about the report, confirmed where she stands with Kelli Ferrell, 41, and revealed which cast member gave her the best filming advice.
“The hardest part about it is that people are tired of hearing about it, and I’m tired of talking about it,” Pinky stated of being candid about her money issues on the June 28 episode of WWHL. “But this is my real life, and that’s why I think that it’s perfect to be here — because somebody is looking at my story like, ‘Okay, I can go through bankruptcy and a restructure.'”
As for Angela Oakley‘s claims against Shamea, Pinky said, “I just don’t see it.”
“Shamea has a very handsome husband, and you don’t play with people’s marriages like that. I’m married, right? And you just don’t play with people’s marriages like that, so I don’t believe it, but I’m also not in their bedroom,” she noted.
Then, when asked about the neighbor, George, and his wife, Ashley, denying Angela’s claims, Pinky said she was certain Angela was lying about Shamea and her potential affair.
“I was looking at Angela like Pinocchio after she said that to be honest becuase it looked like Shamea was telling the truth, and Angela kind of reverted and said, ‘Well, she didn’t say that like I said that,’ so we were like, ‘Somebody lying,’ so you know, I used to work for Maury, so I’m like, okay, I can spot a liar from a mile away. I’m like, ‘let’s get the lie detector test right now!’” she declared.
Moving on to K. Michelle’s suggestion that she’d been targeted by the RHOA cast, Pinky hinted at a reunion reveal.
“We got to see the reunion. I think there’s gonna be some stuff that’s gonna unfold at the reunion,” she teased.
Of the “wife in the basement” rumor she was accused of, Pinky insisted, “The only thing that’s in the basement is a hot water heater.”
“Okay? That is what’s in the basement, and some old boxers, okay?” she asked.
Pinky then mentioned that it was a “damn good name” as she presented Andy Cohen, 57, with a copy of her book, Wife in the Basement.
“Listen, when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. So thank you, Angela,” she stated.
Regarding how Derrick responded to the rumor, Pinky confirmed he was amused.
“He laughed. I mean, he would love a wife … I think every man would want a wife in a damn basement,” she reasoned.
Also on the live airing, Pinky shared where she stood with Kelli.
“Kelli and I are cool,” she explained. “I got so many problems going on in my personal life, I don’t got the time to go back and forth with nobody in the flesh. I just don’t.”
Later, on the WWHL: After Show, Pinky revealed who gave her the best advice ahead of her debut season.
“The advice that I’ve gotten actually was from [Porsha Williams], and she basically said, ‘Don’t self-produce,’ in the beginning, ‘Just be yourself,’ and I think that that was some good advice,” she revealed. “[But] I think I was a little too open.”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 17 airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
