Shamea Morton accused Porsha Williams‘ mom, Diane Williams, of trying to sleep with her father on Sunday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Amid a tense face-off during dinner with their castmates, Shamea, 43, reached her breaking point with Porsha, 45, and made the shocking claim, as Porsha fired back with a wild allegation of her own against Shamea’s mom, Sarah Morton.
After the women went back and forth about Porsha not wanting her daughter, Pilar, 7, at Shamea’s home on the July 12 episode of RHOA, Shamea claimed Porsha “told a lot of lies last year.”
“We sat down and had a whole conversation about me being a part of this friend group, and you said, ‘Shamea, you sing, you dance, you act, you got all this stuff.’ You said this was your thing, your friend group. ‘I’ll bring you on as my friend on the show, but no, I think it might mess up our friendship if you actually come on as a full-time housewife.’ That’s what you said,” Shamea declared.
She then accused Porsha of trash-talking her mom following a truce.
“In Savannah, we talked about our parents, and you said, ‘Oh, I don’t ever want our friendship to be affected by our parents’ friendship.’ That’s what you said, and we agreed. But the first thing you did was went on your public platform and talked about my mom doing something egregious to your mom when, in fact, your mom did something first to my mom, and this was years prior.”
“But you don’t want to speak on that, right?” Shamea continued, explaining in a confessional that she had been keeping the supposed secret about Porsha’s mom because she wanted to “protect and salvage” the friendship she thought they had.
“Shamea, I don’t give a f*ck what our parents did. They were friends prior to us,” Porsha fired back.
“But you posted about my mom. But you didn’t post about what your mom did. You want to talk about that?” Shamea pressed. She then stated, “Your mom tried to sleep with my dad.”
Right away, Porsha slammed Shamea and her mother as “low-down, dirty snakes,” and she claimed Shamea’s accusation against her mom was “not true.”
“No, you and your mama are low-down, dirty snakes,” Shamea responded. “I kept my mouth closed long enough. I said I’m holding my mouth on it because I don’t want to do it, and I don’t want to embarrass her.”
At that point, Porsha revealed a claim of her own, telling Shamea, “Your mom slept with your father’s brother.” Shamea, of course, denied Porsha’s claim.
Following the messy moment, Porsha spoke of Shamea in a confessional, saying, “She’s literally trying to say anything to get a reaction out of me. My mind frame was to move forward, but hers was to be a snake in the grass. This was absolutely a premeditated attack to try and trigger me.”
During the episode, Kelli Potter, 41, offered support to Shamea on Instagram.
“Tonight, I’m choosing LOVE,” Kelli wrote. “To my bestie, [Shamea Morton] … I hope you never let one moment make you question everything God has already shown you about who YOU are. The strongest women I know aren’t the ones who never face hard days… they’re the ones who keep showing up with grace, even when it’s difficult.”
“I’ve watched your heart. I’ve watched your loyalty. I’ve watched the way you pour into the people you love. That’s the woman I KNOW,” she went on. “Keep your MWANGI crown on, your head high, and your heart soft. The noise will fade, but character always remains.”
