Shamea Morton spoke of the regrets she had about her fight with Porsha Williams on Sunday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live.
While also sharing the reaction her mother had to Porsha, 45, alleging that she’d slept with her husband’s brother, commenting on Porsha’s recent tweet, in which she accused Shamea of sleeping with her manager and her pastor, and revealing what she missed about their past friendship, the 44-year-old Real Housewives of Atlanta star explained her thoughts on being vindicated against Angela Oakley‘s cheating claims, said what she unfollowed K. Michelle, 44, and teased the reunion.
“To be honest … the timing wasn’t good,” Shamea admitted of her regrets about her fight with Porsha on the July 20 episode of WWHL. “I definitely shouldn’t have brought it up at the dinner, but I guess it just came out. I was so fed up. And it was like, festering for so long. The dinner was not the appropriate time to do it. That’s why I apologized to the ladies for the timing of it all, and for making them feel uncomfortable.”
As for her mom Sarah Morton‘s reaction to the allegations made, which included Shamea accusing Porsha’s mom, Diane Williams, of trying to sleep with her dad, Shamea said she was “hurt.”
“Rightfully so. I’m sure they both were. So that’s why I apologized … because they shouldn’t have been involved,” she explained. “My mom was brought up last year, at the reunion, but we spoke about it. I thought we were moving on from it, and even now, today, even today, the drama’s still happening on social. I agreed to move on from it at reunion, and that’s what I’m planning on doing.”
Moving on to the message Porsha shared on X in regard to her alleged affairs, Shamea confirmed she saw it.
“I felt bad for one, my pastor. Because not y’all trying to get me kicked out the church. I need all the prayers I can get right now. Can I hold on to that? So I apologized to my pastor, and he said, you know, he understood. They were just like, ‘You’re fine. It’s okay.’ Obviously it’s bull crap, and I won’t engage because at this point, where do you go? We’ve already gone to hell,” she reasoned.
That said, she did confess to missing certain aspects of the relationship she and Porsha once had.
“We cut up real bad when we’re acting silly and outside,” she noted. “[I miss] the relationship with her daughter and her sister, and just the ability to be able to text if I’m going through something or need some advice on something or just need to laugh.”
She even insisted that she wasn’t upset that Porsha made amends with Kelli Potter, 40.
“It actually brought me joy,” she clarified. “I was like, ‘Oh, maybe that’s a sign. Maybe all of us can make up.’ When you go back to last year, when Kelli came in hot and was not seeing it for Porsha because of whatever Porsha did on Amazon, I was like, ‘No, get to know her. She’s really cool. You gotta just take time.’ So absolutely, I was excited for that.”
Regarding Angela being exposed amid her claims regarding George Byrom, one of Shamea’s married neighbors, and their supposedly inappropriate relationship, Shamea said she was happy that Angela was proved wrong.
“I’m just happy that she was able to list a name so that I could be vindicated. Then I can call them out on their bull,” she shared. “Give me the names. I don’t want to spill the reunion, but I’m like, ‘Tell me the people so we can call them right now, girl.’”
Shamea then said that when it came to her unfollowing of K. Michelle, she did so because the singer unfollowed her first.
“I was like, ‘Oh, we are really beefing. Let me just unfollow back,'” she revealed.
Also on the show, after confirming she was “recording” and had a “really big announcement” coming soon, Shamea denied that she ate dinner alone after the taping of the reunion, as Phaedra Parks, 52, alleged on last week’s WWHL.
“I’ll never be alone. I’ve got a whole husband at home. But the reunion is explosive,” she teased. “Ultimately, I was able to say and provide receipts for things that I felt, or I felt was being done to me or being done for me or from me; I was able to talk about it, and that’s what reunion is about.”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 17 airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
