Kelli Potter reacted to Shamea Morton‘s claims against Porsha Williams‘ mom, Diane Williams, during a podcast appearance this week.
After Shamea, 43, claimed Diane tried to sleep with her father on a recent episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, which prompted Porsha, 45, to accuse Shamea’s mom, Sarah Morton, of sleeping with her husband’s brother, Kelli, 41, revealed what wasn’t shown of their spat. Kelli also suggested Shamea was set up, and she suspected that Cynthia Bailey, 59, was working for Porsha. In addition, Kelli shut down questions about the drama between Shamea and K. Michelle, 44, and slammed Angela Oakley, 44, and her cheating claims against Shamea.
“I was gagged about [Shamea’s comment about Porsha’s mom]. She never told me about that. She never told me about the mothers. You see, in the midst, I was like [shocked], and all I could think about was, ‘Let me get her out of here,’” Kelli recalled on a recent episode of Reality with The King. “Now of course she said, ‘It was things that I never want to bring up.’ Of course she’s gonna say that. ‘It’s things I never want to bring up. It’s things I never want to go down.’ She’s always gonna say that, but in regards to specifics, she’s never told me anything. Ever.”
After Shamea admitted on Watch What Happens Live that the timing of her claim about Porsha’s mom “wasn’t good,” Kelli agreed. However, she acknowledged that there was plenty of poking going on behind the scenes.
“It wasn’t shown, [but] I think it was a lot of things that Shamea was under attack about, and I think it was a boiling point to her spilling that information because if you look back on it, Porsha said, ‘I knew you were gonna say that.’ Well, how did you know [she] was gonna say that? Did you poke her enough to say it?” she wondered. “That’s what made me think, like, ‘Oh, so they basically wanted to poke her enough for her to say what she supposedly heard that she was gonna say.’ That’s the part that I didn’t like.”
Looking back, Kelli said that the newbies, including K. Michelle and Pinky Cole, 38, didn’t seem to want to be involved in Shamea’s drama with Porsha before noting that Cynthia may have.
“What would you do for your employers?” she shadily asked.
Then, after saying she was “not talking about” K. Michelle unfollowing Shamea, Kelli moved on to Angela’s cheating accusations against Shamea, including her suggestion that she slept with her neighbor Ashley Byrom’s husband, George Byrom.
“Disgusting. It’s really disgusting. Like, honestly, it disappoints me,” she stated. “I think it’s disgusting of Angela to speak on someone’s marriage, and she doesn’t like other people to speak on hers. I think if you’re hiring a private investigator, you should hire it on yourself. Why are you hiring it on other couples?”
“I just think that you looking for someone’s downfall within their marriage, is just, I don’t like it,” Kelli continued. “I think that you want to play this victim of, ‘Oh, this person said this last season,’ okay, well you made up with the person that said they would sleep with your husband. How does this work out? … You forgive her that fast, but then you’re not going to forgive the person who probably said a little bit of nothing about your marriage? She didn’t say she was gonna sleep with him. She just maybe said she didn’t know about him, but nobody, from word on the street, nobody knew about you.”
Kelli also said it was “very unfortunate” that Angela went “that deep.”
“I think marriage is a beautiful covenant, and we all make mistakes, and we all fall short, but I think for you to look for a splinter in someone’s marriage is pretty f*cking crazy,” she concluded.
