Porsha Williams has settled her divorce from Simon Guobadia following a two-year court battle.
As Simon, 62, spoke out about her supposed debt and celebrated the end of their short-lived marriage, which began in November 2022 and ended less than two years later, the 45-year-old Real Housewives of Atlanta star, who is now dating a woman, Patrice “Sway” McKinney, was given a multi-million-dollar home, a seven-figure payout, and a Rolls-Royce.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ on August 7, Porsha informed the court that Simon had transferred the interest he had in their previously shared mansion in Atlanta to her, via a quitclaim deed, which means she can now refinance or sell the property without him being involved.
She also confirmed Simon agreed to pay her $1,568,181.63 from his share of the home’s equity, to grant her the title to a 2021 Rolls-Royce Ghost, and to pay her any additional funds he owes.
The settlement was reached during an August 5 hearing, at which Porsha noted that Simon had already agreed to the terms of a consent order.
After the news was shared, however, Simon took to his Instagram Story to set the record straight, suggesting that the full story hadn’t been shared.
“They Forgot to Mention They Also Inherited $8,000,000 in Debt [and] Still Got to Pay Me … Being Debt-Free Is My Flex,” he wrote.
He also shared a couple of clips of himself enjoying a night out, captioning the posts, “Freedom,” and “Living.”
Porsha and Simon debuted their romance and engagement in May 2021, just weeks after Simon confirmed he and former wife Falynn Guobadia, an ex-castmate and friend of Porsha, had split after a year-and-a-half of marriage.
“We are crazy in love. I know it’s fast, but we are living life each day to its fullest. I choose happiness every morning and every night. Tuning out all negative energy and only focused on positive wishes. He makes me so happy, and to me, that is what matters most,” Porsha declared at the time.
