Porsha Williams took aim at Kelli Potter during an interview last week after seeing that Kelli had described herself as the star and the “standard” of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
After Kelli, 41, told Carlos King on his podcast, Reality with The King, that she came into her first season setting “the standard for a lot of these ladies,” Porsha, 45, slammed her as a “clown” and a “joke,” as Kelli fired back in an Instagram post, and Angela Oakley, 45, poked fun at their co-star.
“In every court, you’re gonna have a jester. She’s the town clown. It is what it is,” Porsha told Entertainment Tonight on August 14 before noting that that may not be a “bad thing.”
“I think you have to have somebody who is yelling and keeping something up, and that must be her role,” Porsha reasoned. “She seems to love it. I just hope she evolves from it, though. You don’t have to be the joke. You don’t have to be that. You can actually be a boss. You can actually come up from the ashes and rise like a phoenix.”
Then, asked about the heat she got from the “other couch” at the reunion, which featured Kelli, K. Michelle, 44, Shamea Morton, 44, and Pinky Cole, 38, Porsha said that side of the group were the ones who were “starting stuff.”
“If you want to get some attention, you wanna get some shine, you wanna get a storyline going, that’s what you do,” she shared.
Continuing on, Porsha said she hoped her co-stars would learn from the season.
“I’ve never been one to feel like, ‘Oh, I don’t want any other girls to shine, only me.’ If each girl hones in on their own life, be their own bad b*tches, I think it’ll take the show even to another level,” she noted.

Two days later, as she promoted “The Standard” merch on her Instagram page, Kelli clapped back, declaring, “WELCOME TO THE CIRCUS,” as she said, “This is for entertainment purposes ONLY.”
“I would MUCH rather be the TOWN CLOWN than the TOWN ‘WH🤡RE,'” she wrote in response to Porsha’s shade.
She also included a clip of a man jumping around on stage with a microphone, saying it was her “mood.”

Meanwhile, on Angela’s Instagram page, she threw shade at Kelli as well by sharing a photo of herself and R&B singer Kelly Rowland, 45, on her Story with a caption that read, “The only Kelly I acknowledge.”
