Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Caroline Manzo discussed her estrangement from sister Dina Manzo on a podcast on Tuesday.

Following years of family turmoil, which was topped off by Caroline’s support of Dina’s ex-husband, Tommy Manzo, who was not only convicted of hiring a mobster to assault Dina’s current husband, Dave Cantin, in 2015, but also tied to a brutal home invasion at Dina’s home two years later, Caroline suggested that fans don’t know the real story of what caused their falling out.

“They don’t know all about it. They only assume, and, you know, it all gets lost in translation,” Caroline corrected on the September 1 episode of Legally Goff. “I’m a very private person, and that’s something I’ve never spoken about … and I have no intention of speaking about it.”

Although Caroline said she had no plans to go into depth about her feud with Dina, she admitted the two of them were “very different people.”

“I don’t know the ‘whys’ of things, and we’re two very different people. She needs to preserve her sanity, and I need to preserve mine. And just because you have a sibling doesn’t mean that you’re bonded together for life,” she reasoned. “Sometimes we’re just very different people.”

Caroline went on to say that while she and Dina could live in peace without each other, the arrangement wasn’t ideal.

“Go live your life in peace, and I’ll live my life in peace, and that’s it,” she stated, seemingly in a message to Dina, before admitting their estrangement was “not fun.”

“It doesn’t make me happy. But it’s the reality of things, so you just deal with it and move on,” she noted.

As the podcast continued, Caroline was asked if she missed Dina.

“I miss certain things about her … [But] there’s a lot of hurt there, on both of our parts. A lot of hurt. But of course you have a history with somebody. She’s my baby sister. Of course I miss her. There’s a lot of things I miss about her, and there’s a lot of things that, you know, we’ve hurt each other,” she explained.

“It’s reciprocal. It’s life,” Caroline added.

Also on the Legally Goff podcast, Caroline spoke of the unaired season of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, during which she allegedly sustained a sexual assault from Brandi Glanville, 53.

After filing a lawsuit against Bravo, NBCUniversal, and Peacock, Caroline admitted to being scared about the season making it to air.

“The only thing that I’m fearful [of] is what it will do to me mentally. I’m not afraid of anything. I fear for my… Because it never goes away,” she explained. “My grandson, who’s two weeks old today, will find that [footage] somewhere. It will never go away. And I don’t know that I have the capacity to mentally deal with that for the rest of my life.”

Continuing on about Brandi, Caroline said she had “no malice towards” her.

“I like Brandi. Brandi’s broken. I would like to fix Brandi. That would make me happy,” she noted.
