Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann‘s son, Kroy “KJ” Biermann Jr., is facing new rules following a bond hearing regarding his sexual assault case last Friday.
After the teen was granted a $200,000 bond, which came under the agreement that KJ, 15, would stay at his mother’s home, attend school online, and stay away from anyone under the age of 16, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Melynee Leftridge opted to amend the bond, thus dealing KJ, the oldest biological child of Kim, 48, and Kroy, 41, with strict new guidelines.
According to a September 15 court filing obtained by Page Six, KJ will now have to turn over all of his personal belongings, including his passport, before he can be released from custody.
Additionally, all other conditions previously detailed, which include a ban on cell phone and social media use, will “remain the same.”
KJ has also been warned not to contact the alleged victim in his sexual assault case, a female classmate, or her family members or friends, and will be required to wear an ankle monitor for tracking.
The bond update comes just days after sexual assault case expert and former prosecutor Lindsay Richards, who is not involved in the case, suspected KJ would “have a lot of conditions of his release” from jail.
“I think he’ll be on a GPS. He’ll probably be on house arrest, having to do school at home,” she told Page Six.
As for when KJ would be released, that date has yet to be confirmed.
As Real Housewives of Atlanta fans may have heard, KJ was hit with seven felony charges, including aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy, aggravated sexual battery, false imprisonment and three counts of aggravated sexual battery against a child under 16, after an April 23 incident involving an unnamed victim, who accused KJ of making “multiple” attempts to have “sexual intercourse with her by trying to pull down her pants.”
Then, amid Friday’s bond hearing, a prosecutor on the case claimed that numerous videos of KJ having sex with an underage family member had been discovered on his cell phone.
Following the initial claims against KJ, Kim released a statement.
“The allegations being made against my son are nothing short of reckless and deeply troubling. He categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged,” she told Us Weekly. “My son voluntarily took a polygraph examination regarding these allegations and passed. Additionally, an examination was conducted, and no DNA belonging to my son was found.”
“False accusations can have devastating consequences not only for the person being accused, but also for genuine survivors of sexual assault and abuse. Every legitimate allegation deserves to be taken seriously and investigated based on the facts and evidence. At the same time, no one should be publicly condemned based solely on an accusation,” she continued. “We remain confident that the facts and evidence will establish the truth, and we ask that people allow the proper process to take its course rather than spreading unproven allegations.”
