Teen Mom OG's Maci Bookout Files Protection Order Against Ryan Edwards

Maci Bookout appeared in court on Monday in hopes of having a judge move forward with her case against Ryan Edwards. Unfortunately, her request for an order of protection was continued until next month.

According to a report by Radar Online on April 2, the Teen Mom OG star appeared at the Hamilton County Circuit Court yesterday only to be sent home and told to return on May 21 at 1:30 p.m.

“The temporary protection order will stay in affect until their court hearing,” a clerk explained.

Maci filed an order of protection for herself and her three kids, including nine-year-old Bentley, two-year-old Jayde, and one-year-old Maverick, at the end of last month.

“He has left voicemail messages threatening to show up at my house and take my son,” she wrote in court documents. “He has made threats to show up and hurt me if I don’t answer my phone.”

Maci also revealed Ryan, who has a baby on the way with wife Mackenzie Standifer, had allegedly shown up high to one of Bentley’s baseball games in May of last year and began “yelling and threatening to hurt me.”

Days after Maci’s request was filed, Ryan was arrested for breaking his probation with a heroin arrest last year. As fans of Teen Mom OG will recall, Ryan’s addiction struggles have been chronicled for the past couple of seasons of the show and last year, at the conclusion of season six, he checked into a treatment facility.

In addition to Maci’s children, the longtime reality star also wants her two dogs, Bonnie and Clyde, protected from her ex-boyfriend.

“You must not hurt or threaten to hurt any animals owned or kept by the Petitioner/Petitioner’s children,” her court documents read, according to a report by The Blast.

Maci’s husband, Taylor McKinney, also revealed in that documents that Ryan owns a gun and noted that the item had been mentioned in threats he made against them.
