David Beador may not have always been the best husband but according to his new girlfriend, Lesley Cook, the former Real Housewives of Orange County star is the “best BF ever.”
After cheating on his estranged wife, Shannon Beador, years ago and proceeding to harass her about her weight, David, 53, is reportedly stepping up in his new relationship with his much younger girlfriend and made sure that her recent 35th birthday was a hit.
“He is the best BF ever… he carried this cake around all night for me around town & then put 35 candles on top,” Lesley told her Instagram followers on August 6 along with a photo of David standing beside a cake box.
Inside of the cake box, as Lesley’s followers saw in a second photo, was a cake that read, “Happy Birthday Mom.”
“By the time they were done lighting them all a few were completely burned down. I’m still lmao,” she added.
According to Lesley’s Instagram post, she and her family were enjoying her birthday celebration in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and before she got her birthday cake, Lesley shared a photo of herself and her two kids enjoying time at Lake Coeur d’Alene.

David and Lesley began dating one another after first meeting in December 2017 but didn’t go public until February of this year. As fans of The Real Housewives of Orange County will recall, David and estranged wife Shannon announced the end of their 17-year marriage months prior.

As for how Shannon had been doing since splitting from her former partner, she has moved on from their marriage as well and recently went public with new boyfriend Scot Matteson.

Last month, Shannon addressed her estranged husband’s romance during an interview on E!’s The Daily Pop.
“I haven’t met her,” she said. “You know, it doesn’t matter, I’m fine with it, I’m fine with it. He can make his own decisions and we’re gonna go our separate ways.”
