RHOC's Gina Kirschenheiter wants spousal support in divorce

Gina Kirschenheiter is moving forward with her divorce.

Seven months after her initial court filing, The Real Housewives of Orange County star is ready to end her seven-year marriage to husband Matt Kirschenheiter and has served him with documents she hopes will prove she needs spousal support.

On November 6, The Blast shared details regarding Gina’s financial paperwork, explaining that her latest filing suggests she’s ready to have her divorce finalized as soon as possible.

In April, Gina filed for divorce from Matt after just under eight years of marriage and cited irreconcilable differences. According to her paperwork, she and Matt wed on May 15, 2010 and separated on March 3, 2018.

Gina shares three young children, including Nicholas, 6, Sienna, 4, and Luca, 2, with Matt and has requested joint legal and primary physical custody of them. However, in Matt’s own court documents, he demanded the court not give Gina primary custody and requested they instead share joint custody.

As for Gina’s request for spousal support, Matt agreed his estranged wife should be given support but requested his pre-marital and post-separation assets remain in his possession.

In addition to her request for spousal support, Gina has asked that Matt’s right to seek support from her be terminated.

Gina has repeatedly stated that her divorce with Matt, who she remains on friendly terms with, is very amicable so it’s somewhat odd that they are going through the court systems to iron out support issues rather than negotiating directly and agreeing on a deal through their lawyers.

While Gina and Matt put their Orange County home on the market for just under $1 million earlier this year, they have since decided not to sell the house until sometime next year.

The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV.
