Bravo TV is reportedly spending a whopping $10 million on the upcoming 12th season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
After the Georgia-based series beat all of the other Real Housewives franchises in the ratings, the network awarded many of their returning stars, including NeNe Leakes, Kandi Burruss, Cynthia Bailey, Porsha Williams, and Eva Marcille, with raises while cutting one cast member from her full-time role and welcoming back Kenya Moore.
According to a Radar Online report on May 20, NeNe, the highest paid housewife of the franchise, will be making $2.85 million for season 12 after signing a three-season contract. The new salary is a $100,000 raise from her season 11 salary of $2.75 million. Meanwhile, Kandi, who is the second-highest paid housewife, also got a $100,000 raise and is now making $2.3 million.
Cynthia and Porsha each received $50,000 raise with salaries of $1.8 million and $1.3 million, respectively, and Eva’s pay went from $250,000 to $275,000.
As for who was fired, that would be Shamari DeVoe, who was paid $250,000 for her debut season, season 11. That said, she was only fired from her full-time role and will reportedly be returning to the series in a cameo role with a day rate salary.
Following her season 11 hiatus, Kenya has been brought back to The Real Housewives of Atlanta but when it comes to her salary, she will not be given the $1.5 million paycheck she received for season 10. Instead, she’s been dealt with a $1 million pay cut and will reportedly make just $500,000 for season 12.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 12 is expected to air later this year on Bravo TV.
