Javi Marroquin and Lauren Comeau are engaged!
Amid filming on the new season of Teen Mom 2, Javi Marroquin, who shares one young son, Eli Joseph, with Lauren, took to his Instagram page and announced plans to marry his “best friend.”
“June 17th I asked my best friend to marry me… Our sleepless (mainly yours) nights… our endless laughs… and our countless jokes to each other now can be forever,” he wrote. “Without you, our gym wouldn’t be possible. Without you we wouldn’t have a place to call home. Most importantly, without you, we wouldn’t be complete. Thank you for being the greatest mom to Eli and now (soon to be) stepmom to Lincoln. I feared not finding someone that would love me and linc the way you do. Never have I questioned that with you.”
“Thank you for everything you do for this family. I can’t believe I’m this lucky,” he added.
With Javi’s post, he included a photo of himself and Lauren after his proposal.

In the comments section of Javi’s post, Lauren responded to his sweet message by joking that she “can’t believe I’m lucky enough to annoy you for the rest of our lives!!!”
Javi also shared a closeup photo of Lauren and her engagement ring on his page.

Javi and Lauren first dated briefly in 2017 before reconciling early last year after his split from ex-girlfriend Briana DeJesus. Then, in May of last year, they confirmed they were expecting their first child together.
Lauren hasn’t been getting along with Kailyn Lowry, the mother of Javi’s oldest son, five-year-old Lincoln, in recent months. But Javi is hopeful that the two women will be able to establish a friendship with one another now that they are a family.
“We’re 26, 27 years old,” he told Radar Online. “She’s going be in Lincoln’s life. That’s messed up because if you want to go back to Jo and Vee, it was important for her to have that relationship with Vee for Isaac. It’s kind of the same concept. Lauren and I have a baby together. It magnifies the situation.”
“If they could come together and do it for Lincoln that would be great,” he added.
Teen Mom 2 will return to MTV later this year or early next year for season 10.
