Vicki Gunvalson Talks Feud with RHOC Newbie Braunwyn Windham-Burke, Addresses Future After Demotion

Vicki Gunvalson and her costars, Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador, appeared on Tuesday’s episode of Jerry O’Connell‘s new talk show, Jerry O. During their appearance, Vicki spoke of her newest Real Housewives of Orange County co-star, Braunwyn Windham-Burke.

In addition to addressing her recent demotion and her engagement to boyfriend Steve Lodge, Vicki spoke candidly about her initial thoughts on the new cast member of season 14, who she claims came after her “right out of the gate.”

“She said she didn’t have a good feeling about me and I’m like, ‘I don’t even know who you are,’” Vicki recalled.

According to Vicki, the new cast members “like to come after the queen.”

“She willingly said, ‘I’ve been watching you for 13 years and maybe somebody put some stuff in my head and I just wanted to come after you.’ And I’m like, ‘Well that’s rude. I don’t even know who you are. Who are you friends with? Oh, by the way, nobody.’ It was weird,” she continued.

After hearing what Vicki had said, Tamra suggested it was Kelly Dodd who put Braunwyn up to going after the show’s longtime star.

“[Braunwyn] knew Kelly. So, maybe Kelly was telling her [something],” Tamra suspected.

Although Vicki was understandably upset after learning she would not be holding a peach for the 14th season of the RHOC, she made it clear to Jerry and his audience that she has no plans to leave the show anytime soon.

“Well, you know what? I talked to Andy last night because I said, ‘What do I say?’ And he said, ‘You know what? Nobody has ever lasted 14 years on a reality show. Be happy and proud of that.’ And I’m still in,” she shared. “And producer Scott Dunlap said, ‘Unless they kick you off the horse, don’t voluntarily get off the horse.’ So I’m still on the horse. I’m still riding the pony. I don’t know what my future is but I’m having fun.”

“She’ll be back next year,” Tamra said.

“She’ll always be the O.G. She’ll always be,” Shannon added.

“I have a love for my franchise, a love for what I’ve created,“ Vicki continued. “I mean, we’ve been through hell and back. But truthfully, it’s our reality. It’s what my life has gone through the last 14 years and it’s been some bumpiness.”

As for her engagement to Steve, which was reportedly not filmed for the show, Vicki said she wasn’t wearing her engagement ring because she had locked it in her safe before traveling to North Carolina for a family vacation. That said, she couldn’t be happier to be taking the next step with her partner of over three years.

“I’m super happy. He’s a good guy. I never have to worry about him cheating on me or getting stupid drunk. He’s just a good guy. He lets me whoop it up. So that’s the most important thing,” she gushed.

The Real Housewives of Orange County season 14 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV.
