Stassi Schroeder is revealing the real reason she quit working at SUR following Vanderpump Rules season two.
During a recent interview, Stassi explained her decision to allow cameras to capture her upcoming wedding to fiance Beau Clark before dishing on her bridesmaid lineup and the ongoing cast feuds her former boyfriend, Jax Taylor, is currently involved with.
“I mean, listen. I’ve lived all of my twenties on Vanderpump Rules and the crew is my family. The cast is my family and the viewers are a huge part of my life,” Stassi admitted on E!’s The Daily Pop. “It’s my life. I think it would be weird if it wasn’t filmed.”
As for which of her co-stars would be serving as bridesmaids, Stassi couldn’t say who she picked but did suggest that a number of her fellow castmates would be included in her bridal party.
“I mean, they’re my best friends. So… I haven’t told them yet. I haven’t told anyone yet… it depends on who behaves this year,” she teased, seemingly citing her ongoing feud with former bestie Kristen Doute.
When it comes to the show and fans, Stassi admits she enjoys the support from fans but also acknowledges that since the show became a hit, more fans have been showing up to the SUR restaurant, which most cast members of the show work at. According to Stassi, this played a role in why she quit her job at SUR after Pump Rules season two.
“That’s why I quit working there after season two. I was like I can’t handle this. This is not for me. I barely go into the restaurants because it’s so overwhelming,” admitted Stassi when asked if she ever gets fearful by the attention from fans at Lisa Vanderpump’s popular restaurants. “You want to have a moment with each person you meet. You want to be able to give them a little bit of conversation but when you’re at TomTom, SUR, or PUMP, there’s like a million of them, so I just Postmates.”
Following news of Jax’s many feuds with his Pump Rules co-stars, including Tom Sandoval, Ariana Madix, and Scheana Marie, Stassi explained why she is rarely the target of her ex-boyfriend’s hasty antics although she admitted she was a bit nervous for Jax to read her best-selling book, Next Level Basic: The Definitive Basic B–ch Handbook, in which she wrote about their relationship.
“I think maybe Jax,” said Stassi when asked who she was afraid to show the book to. “I think Jax because he blocks a lot of people on Twitter so easily and I just don’t like being at the center of his wrath.”
“I feel like maybe I’m exempt from his anger because he’s done so much to me in the past that now he’s like, I won’t touch her now,” she joked.
Stassi is currently doing a tour for her podcast Straight Up With Stassi.
