After facing marriage struggles with husband Shane Simpson throughout the 14th season of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Emily explained why she was ringless to host Andy Cohen as she clapped back at Tamra Judge on Instagram after seeing that her co-star had suggested she’s not a good fit for RHOC.
“It was seen at BravoCon that you did not have your wedding ring. Is there a certain reason for that?” the caller asked.
“No, you know what, I rarely wear it,” Emily responded. “I actually lost it. I don’t have a wedding ring.”
Right away, Andy expressed shock and told Emily that her ringless finger was “not a great sign.”
As RHOC fans may recall, Emily’s husband faced questions about his ringless finger on Instagram in October. At the time, Emily and Shane appeared together in a video where she was seen asking the father of her three children where his ring was.
“I don’t even know if… I don’t think I have a wedding ring,” he replied.
Although Emily then told her husband that she bought him a wedding ring, he wasn’t so sure and the mystery of where his ring was remained unsolved.
In addition to her on-screen drama with Shane, Emily also faced plenty of tension with Tamra. So, when Tamra took aim at her role on RHOC at BravoCon, no one was too surprised. While attending the event over the weekend, Tamra was asked which of her co-stars didn’t fit in with the rest of the cast and she quickly replied, “Emily.”
“There’s no real connection with her, and it’s been a real struggle,” Tamra explained. “I’m not saying she’s a bad person. I think she’s a lovely person, but there’s got to be an organic connection. It’s been really hard to get to know her, so it’s hard to be friends with her.”
In response to her co-star’s diss, Emily responded to Reality Blurb‘s article about the issue on Instagram, writing, “I’ll take that as a compliment.”
Emily also received an overwhelming amount of support from RHOC fans in the comments section of our Instagram post.
“I fast forward through everything that ISN’T about Emily. Tamra is a disgusting human,” wrote one supporter to Emily and she responded with a heart emoji.
“You are the sole reason I watch rhoc! The kindness and support you’ve shown to my daughter has made me a forever supporter of yours! Keep being the good the show needs! We adore you,” wrote another RHOC viewer to Emily.
