Ashlee Holmes was taken aback by a recent interview from Danielle Staub in regard to her caught-on-camera fight with Margaret Josephs on the latest episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
In the interview, Danielle, who yanked Margaret from behind by the hair after she poured a glass of water on her head, explained how the encounter differed from the season two fight she had with Ashlee, the daughter of former cast member Jacqueline Laurita, before being called out by Ashlee for her alleged lies about their past encounter.
After a RHONJ: After Show producer noted that Jacqueline had accused Danielle of being a hypocrite on Twitter after learning of her fight with Margaret, Danielle revealed details about the alleged injuries she sustained during Ashlee’s attack years ago.
“I had my hair that is connected to these beads in my extensions, at least five of those extensions, which is a handful of hair, pulled completely from my scalp, had four stitches in my scalp as a result of it, my head hit the pavement as a result of it. I have six herniated discs, three of which happened that night as a result of it,” Danielle shared.
“Jacqueline should really shut and sit down. She should probably pay attention to more to what’s going on in her life instead of me,” she added. “[Ashlee] hurt me. I have medical bills to prove it.”
Danielle also noted that when it came to her fight with Margaret, the hair involved was only a clip-in.
“If Margaret wants to go toe-to-toe with me about that being the same thing as a clip-in ponytail and her holding onto my arm and running along because I wouldn’t let go of the ponytail, she was holding onto my arm. I didn’t have that chance,” Danielle said.
After learning of Danielle’s comments, Ashlee responded to Danielle’s injury claims on Instagram.
“Oh is this the same interview where she’s now trying to say that when I pulled her cheap weave that her head hit the pavement, she needed stitches, and something about herniated disks? K,” Ashlee wrote.
As fans of RHONJ will recall, Danielle filed charges against Ashlee after accusing her of pulling out her hair during season two. However, according to Ashlee, Danielle actually pulled out her own hair in an effort to make their encounter appear more dramatic than it was.
“I pulled her hair. Hard. I didn’t actually pull it out of her head, despite my commentary,” Ashlee revealed. “She pulled it out of her head herself when she was in Kim’s car.”
Also during the RHONJ: After Show, Melissa Gorga said Danielle’s behavior was “hypocrisy at its finest.”
“You complained for how many years about someone pulling out your hair out of your head at a country club when [Jacqueline]’s daughter did that to [you],” Melissa said. “We did not hear the end of that for how many years? It was devastating. It ruined her life… and then she came and did it right back.”
