Vanderpump Rules' Kristen Doute Explains Why She 'No Longer Cares' to Reconcile With Stassi Schroeder and Katie Maloney, Wonders Why it Was "So Easy" for Them to Cut Her Off

Kristen Doute no longer cares about reconciling with Stassi Schroeder and Katie Maloney.

After being seen at odds with the two women on Vanderpump Rules due to the ups and downs of her since-ended relationship with Brian Carter, Kristen offered an update on her relationships with both Stassi and Katie before wondering why her former best friends so easily cut her from their lives.

“I don’t care if we are never friends again,” Kristen revealed to Hollywood Life on March 5. “I still love [Stassi]. She’s still my sister, and she deserves to know that I’m proud of her. I’ve always reached out to her, and I usually get a casual, ‘Thank you,’ and that’s it.”

And when it comes to Katie, Kristen admits they still “talk here and there, mostly just not about work-related type things” but lamented that it’s only “lighthearted bulls–t” and that “there’s no real conversation.”

Although Kristen and Stassi haven’t had any heart-to-hearts as of late, Stassi did reach out to Kristen to congratulate her on her new book, He’s Making You Crazy: How to Get the Guy, Get Even, and Get Over It.

“A few weeks ago she texts me just saying, ‘I’m so proud of you, and congratulations, and I hope that it wasn’t a hard process for you,’” Kristen recalled.

Katie has also been supportive of Kristen’s new book and recently pre-ordered herself a copy.

According to Kristen, she’s still not sure why her friendships with Stassi and Katie came to an end and hopes the remaining episodes of Pump Rules season eight will clue her in. And while Kristen doesn’t understand Stassi and Katie’s decision to cut her off, she’s still hopeful they will one day reach a truce.

“But I think it has to be separate conversations. I don’t think the three of us together is going to work as the first sit down. I think it needs to be Katie and I, Stassi and I, treat them as very different friendships and find out why each of them solely felt that this was so easy to just cut me off,” she explained.
