Real Housewives of Potomac fans were finally able to experience the epic throwdown between Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard-Bassett that took place on Sunday. Now, the two ladies are taking to social media to share some thoughts on the matter.
First, Monique was actually remaining quite positive through it all, noting the “journey” she’s been on since the incident and what she’s learned along the way.
“The blessing of experiencing lows means there’s no where to go but UP! Keep watching to see the entire journey. I’m grateful for my ups and my downs because they help me grow,” she posted on Twitter after the episode aired on September 27. “I’ll continue to look for the positives wrapped within the negatives and move forward #RHOP.”

Even with the growth she’s had, Monique still had some thoughts about what went down. She looked back on what “triggered” her and how she didn’t want it to escalate to that level.
“If I knew then (triggers) what I know now… none of this would have escalated this way smh #rhop #growth,” she wrote.

Monique then went on the explain why she did what she did during the altercation, and she accused Candiace of throwing the glass of wine at her first.
“I didn’t swing/punch until after I was hit in the face with a glass #RHOP #replay,” Monique stated, defending her actions during the conflict.

Candiace also took to her Twitter to air out a few grievances, responding to users who took her to task for her involvement in the fight and users who tried to see Monique’s side of the story.
“I never said [Candiace] getting hit was the right thing,” one user defended in a conversation with a few fans who disagreed about who was at fault for the fight. “What I said was don’t be appalled like it was so left field that it happened. Nobody is shocked it happened.”
Candiace then jumped in to continue to call out Monique’s behavior, noting that she wasn’t “shocked” Monique reacted in the way she did.
“The only people who aren’t shocked are people she’s paying or pieces of s–t who are committed to hating me. both look as stupid as she is,” Candiace replied. “I look forward to the next time you get into a verbal altercation & someone tries to physically attack you. I’m sure your dad is very proud.”
