Shannon Beador opened up about her ex David Beador‘s baby news on Wednesday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live.
Following the premiere episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County season 15, Shannon revealed what surprised her about Lesley Cook‘s pregnancy before discussing her co-parenting relationship with David and explaining how he reacted to their three daughters’ COVID-19 diagnoses.
“I’m fine with [David having] a baby,” Shannon admitted to host Andy Cohen after he read a question from a fan who wanted to know how she was feeling about David having another child.
According to Shannon, the only thing that surprised her about Lesley’s pregnancy was the fact that it happened when it did.
“I mean, I thought it would have happened a lot earlier,” Shannon explained. “I think we talked about it two reunions ago that I thought maybe she was going to have a baby. So, I’m fine with that.”
As for Shannon’s co-parenting relationship with David, the RHOC star said, “It’s not really happening.”
“And that’s a shame for me because I’ve moved on. He’s moved on. I wish him all the happiness but I want to be able to communicate about our kids,” Shannon continued.
Over the summer, amid filming on the 15th season of the Bravo reality series, Shannon confirmed she and her children had caught the coronavirus. However, when it came to their diagnoses, Shannon’s kids were actually diagnosed before she was, which meant that they were forced to quarantine by themselves for a number of days as David ensured his pregnant fiancée would not be infected.
“The three girls tested positive before I did so I went and quarantined at John’s because he and I were both negative and I said, ‘Where are the girls going to go?'” Shannon recalled of a conversation between her and David. “And he said, ‘Let’s just put them up in a hotel,’ because his fiancée’s pregnant. So, it was hard.”
“It was really hard to figure out,” Shannon added.
The Real Housewives of Orange County season 15 airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
