Tori Spelling is reportedly joining the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for its upcoming season.
Following Paul “PK” Kemsley‘s announcement regarding the returning women of the series, which includes his wife, Dorit Kemsley, Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, Lisa Rinna, and Garcelle Beauvais, a report also claims both Tori and Kathy Hilton will be appearing on season 11 in “friend” roles.
“Tori Spelling is doing [RHOBH] with her mom, [Candy Spelling],” an insider told CELEB magazine on October 16. “People who have followed Tori know her relationship with her mom has been contentious for many years. Kathy Hilton – Kyle Richards‘ and [Kim Richards]‘ sister- is also expected to join, and she has some issues with Candy as well.”
While it was not noted what these issues actually are, the source went on to say that Tori, like Kathy, will be added to the show through Kyle.
“Tori is expected to join in a similar vein to Kathy – specifically as a friend of the Housewives. Tori is also expected to come on as Kyle’s friend,” the insider noted.
As RHOBH fans may recall, Tori, who shares five kids with her husband Dean McDermott, was first linked to casting rumors in 2018 when she hired now-ex cast member Teddi Mellencamp as her “accountability coach.”
“Tori’s plan is to land a guest “friend” role on the series, and then work her way up to becoming a full-time cast member,” a source told Life & Style magazine at the time.
Months later, Tori confirmed to E! News that she was never asked to join the series.
“That [rumor] keeps following me, and I’ve always said I’m just a huge fan,” Tori explained. “But no, not at all. I’m friends with so many of them and I’m a huge fan. I always say I watch the show. But no, I have never asked to be on the show.”
Tori also told the outlet she was “too nice” for the show.
“The drama I like is like my family chaos at home and like, you know who’s watching what and who wants to eat what for dinner? I can’t deal with girl drama,” she admitted.
While Bravo has yet to comment on the reported additions of Tori and Kathy, Erika Jayne addressed Tori’s potential addition in August of last year during an appearance on The Jenny McCarthy Show, making it clear that she was on board with the idea.
“If there’s anybody that says Beverly Hills, it’s Tori Spelling,” she stated.
