Production on the upcoming 13th season of The Real Housewives of New York City was reportedly forced to shut down after one of its cast member tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a new report, which has also shared a number of spoilers in regard to what fans can expect to see on the new episodes, the ladies of the show, including Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, Luann de Lesseps, Leah McSweeney, and new cast member Eboni K. Williams, were expected to film together when the cast member’s diagnosis was suddenly exposed.

The Daily Mail shared the news with readers on October 23 but kept the identity of the woman private, stating that the shutdown lasted for two weeks.

“All of the women are now healthy and COVID-19 negative. They are filming this weekend at Ramona Singer’s home in Southampton,” an insider explained.

The source also noted that Bravo and their production team have gone to great lengths to keep their cast and crew safe throughout filming on season 13 and immediately shut production down when they learned of the woman’s case.

“As soon as the diagnosis was revealed, filming immediately stopped,” the insider stated.

As for what fans should expect to see when RHONY returns, the source said the new season “should be interesting” now that Dorinda Medley and Tinsley Mortimer aren’t around to stir the pot.

“Watch Leah and Ramona battle it out this season while poor Luann is really struggling without her cabaret or any sort of storyline. After stealing Jovani from Dorinda, she has now hijacked her health coach. Luann has also latched onto the newest housewife, Eboni, in a last ditch attempt to stay relevant,” the insider teased.

The source then noted that Luann is reportedly fearful that she won’t be asked to return for season 14 if she doesn’t pull together some sort of storyline.

“You can tell she is worried this is her last season,” the source said.

The Real Housewives of New York City season 13 will air on Bravo sometime next year.
