Scheana Shay addressed her recent gender reveal party on the latest episode of her podcast.

Just over a week after announcing her pregnancy, the Vanderpump Rules cast member admitted to surprising guests at the bash before revealing which co-star she told first, sharing which castmates reached out, and explaining why she’ll be incorporating Winnie the Pooh into her son or daughter’s nursery.

“[Kristen Doute], she had no idea. She was one of the last ones to get there,” Scheana explained on the November 6 episode of Scheananigans. “She’s walking [in] and was just like, ‘What the f*ck?!’ So confused.”

While Kristen first learned of Scheana’s baby news at her gender reveal, Scheana told a number of her Pump Rules castmates in advance, including Tom Sandoval, Ariana Madix, Max Boyens, and Brittany Cartwright.

“I only told Brittany because she told me she was pregnant. Otherwise, I wanted her to be surprised like Kristen and everyone else was,” Scheana stated. “She texted me and was like, ‘I know so-and-so just announced they’re pregnant but I have a secret and I need to tell you I’m pregnant.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, my gosh!’ It was just exciting to know that I’m a week and a half apart from someone who I’m super close with.”

Since publicly confirming her baby news, Scheana has received kind messages from several co-stars.

“Quite a few of them [have reached out],” Scheana noted. “[Jax Taylor] and [Katie Maloney] both commented on my Instagram Story, ‘Congrats.’ Tom and Ariana, obviously, they already knew. [James Kennedy] and [Raquel Leviss]… Kristen was at the party, Brittany was at the party. Max knew. [Charli Burnett] knew. And [Tom Schwartz] sent me a really sweet text [that] morning, too.”

As for Lala Kent and Stassi Schroeder, Scheana didn’t mention the two of them and they didn’t appear to react to the news publicly following their falling outs with Scheana last month.

While a number of Pump Rules stars had a pregnancy pact, Scheana told listeners of her podcast she wasn’t a part of the pact and added that motherhood is no competition.

“You all know I’ve been left out of every group activity with those women so I definitely wasn’t a part of this trend or pact,” she explained.

“I hate, so much, that everything is a competition with this group of women on this show. And the fact that they’re saying this about miracles happening and babies coming into the world, it doesn’t matter who was first. And if you want to get technical, this is [my and Brock Davies‘] second pregnancy,” she continued, giving a nod to her June miscarriage.

While Scheana and her castmates haven’t yet gotten any word on season nine, Scheana said fans shouldn’t be surprised to see her give birth on the show.

“I don’t think I would have a camera crew in the room with me and I don’t think COVID is going to allow that. But I would like it filmed and if that ends up on a TV show or YouTube, I’m totally fine with that. Whether there’s a season nine or it’s on YouTube, it will definitely be out there. I’m such an open book I think it would be weird if it wasn’t,” she said.

As for her plans for her baby’s nursery, Scheana said Winnie the Pooh has a special place in her heart because her grandfather was a big fan.

“He wore a silver Winnie the Pooh honey pot necklace every day until the day he died. My mom has it in her jewelry box still. So I do want to incorporate classic Winnie the Pooh, but not overkill. I just want accents of that in the nursery because there’s so much meaning behind it,” she shared.
