Real Housewives of Potomac fans keep receiving tidbits about this season’s upcoming reunion, and lucky for them, Gizelle Bryant just spilled some more tea about what sounds like an emotionally taxing day.
The reality star shared on a recent episode of Bravo’s Chat Room that, in addition to a whirlwind season 5 of the show, the reunion was a definite trip, as her castmates didn’t hold back in holding her feet to the fire.
“A major [breakdown] recently, and you guys will see as a little tease to the reunion, is I was sitting there very nice and pretty and everybody and their grandmother was coming for me for about eight hours — and then in the last two to three hours, I just lost it,” Gizelle told her fellow Chat Room co-hosts. “Wait and see, it was a doozy… it didn’t go well for me.”
In addition to Gizelle’s recent comments, her co-star Robyn Dixon also shared a few small details on Sunday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, giving her take on the drama.
“There’s so much to watch. I just want to say, being in that room, I was happy to finally let everyone say what was on their minds,” she revealed. “Hopefully we can move past everything.”
Moreover, WWHL host and reunion ringmaster Andy Cohen also shared some enticing details about the upcoming special (likely aired in three or four parts), noting that it was definitely one for the books.
“I was really amazed by how dramatic it was when the husbands came,” Andy responded to Robyn during the WWHL After Show.
RHOP fans are aware of the conflict and chaos that’s been building over this season with the ladies, but a midseason trailer revealed even more excitement to come regarding some of the husbands, as Candiace Dillard Bassett‘s partner Chris Bassett and Ashley Darby‘s hubby Michael Darby are seen escalating into a fight in the sneak peek.
“I think people will be really surprised by the finale,” Andy also teased, hinting at some of that drama fans saw in the midseason trailer. “They don’t even know what’s in store for the finale. I mean that was some… yeah.”
Even more interesting is the reunion’s seating chart, which actually puzzled some fans in terms of its strategy (or lack thereof?).
For the most part, reunions typically seat the franchise’s OGs or sort of lead cast members next to Andy plus the women who are more on the same sides of certain dramas together. Although production sat Gizelle and Karen Huger next to Andy (an obvious move and something the series has done in the past), fans were surprised to see Robyn seated next to Karen and on the side with Monique Samuels and Ashley — two ladies who have shared opposing views with Robyn this season.
