Teddi Mellencamp opened up about her upcoming return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills during an appearance on Jeff Lewis‘ Radio Andy talk show on Wednesday.
In addition to discussing season 11 pressures and revealing what she did “differently” during her time in front of the cameras, Teddi joked about referring friend Crystal Kung-Minkoff to the show before ultimately being fired as Crystal was brought on.
“I immediately felt the pressure to [move things along] when I went back,” Teddi admitted on the June 2 episode of SiriusXM Radio’s Jeff Lewis Live.
After looking back at how she brought certain issues to the surface amid RHOBH season 10, including Brandi Glanville‘s comments regarding her alleged affair with Denise Richards, Teddi said that when it came to season 11, she was determined to stay true to herself and not succumb to pressures to stir the pot.
“I 100 percent only spoke from the heart. I wouldn’t say anything that I didn’t truly feel,” she explained.
In the months since confirming her exit from the show, Teddi has remained in close contact with a number of her former co-stars, including Kyle Richards, Dorit Kemsley, Erika Jayne, and Lisa Rinna.
She has also kept in touch with Crystal, her friend of eight years, who she joked about producers trading her for.
“Crystal was my friend that I referred to be on the show. They hired her and fired me!” Teddi laughed.
As for Sutton, Teddi admitted that she doesn’t need her in her life.
“[Sutton Stracke] [has] been pleasant to me, but we don’t know each other that well,” she shared. “I mean, she’s texted me a couple of times, ‘Let’s have drinks,’ and I’m not opposed to it. But it’s not somebody that… I can take it [or leave it].”
Also during her interview with Jeff, Teddi revealed that she is still blocked by Denise on social media.
“I’m blocked on social media… she’s done with me,” Teddi said of her former co-star.
As fans saw on RHOBH season 10, Teddi and Denise suffered a major falling out after Teddi mentioned her alleged rendezvous with Brandi during a cast dinner in Rome.
“Not to [go] back in history, but it was already on camera. I could have blindsided her and just talked about her behind her back in confessionals and let her be shocked when she saw it,” Teddi noted.
Teddi then said that when it came to her issues with Denise, she never truly cared about what went down between her and Brandi.
“I truly could give two sh-ts about her and Brandi. Yes, it did bother me the thing about my dad [John Mellencamp], but that’s been said a million times,” she stated. “It’s something I’ve grown up living with and anybody that has parents in the public eye will face from time to time.”
