Tamra Judge is reportedly returning to The Real Housewives of Orange County cast as a “friend” for the series’ upcoming 16th season.
On the heels of the departures of Kelly Dodd, Braunwyn Windham-Burke, and Elizabeth Vargas, Tamra is said to be preparing to reunite with Shannon Beador, Gina Kirschenheiter, Emily Simpson, and Heather Dubrow, whose return was confirmed earlier this week, for filming on the new episodes.
On June 17, Radar Online revealed producers decided to bring Tamra back to spice up the show.
According to reporter Anthony Dominic, Tamra will be featured in a “friend” position.
“I’m told Tamra will be a friend of the cast in some capacity. Which explains her recently saying she wouldn’t return full time,” he wrote on June 15.
As fans of RHOC will recall, Tamra was brought to the show for season three and continued to appear on the series through season 14. Then, in January 2020, just one day after Vicki Gunvalson confirmed her exit from the show, Tamra revealed she was offered just a few episodes on season 15 and said she too was leaving.
Back in January, amid rumors of her potential return, Tamra admitted that the ongoing comments about her alleged comeback were making it harder for her to move on.
“To be honest, it’s kind of screwing with my head a little bit because it took me a certain amount of months just to say, ‘you know what, I’m over it [and] I don’t want to do this anymore,’” she shared on Everything Iconic. “I have to move forward, but it’s really hard because I’m reminded of it every single day.”
According to the report, filming on The Real Housewives of Orange County season 16 will begin sometime next month.
