Vanderpump Rules stars Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz were offered roles on Bravo’s Winter House, but ultimately, they didn’t appear. So, what happened?
During a podcast appearance last week, Ariana Madix, Sandoval’s main squeeze of nearly eight years, explained why he was uncomfortable with joining before opening up about her bout with COVID-19 and confirming her role in Scheana Shay and Brock Davies’ upcoming wedding.
“When they asked [Tom Sandoval] and [Tom Schwartz] to do Winter House, I remember when Tom got off the phone of the times he was talking to them and he was like, ‘I don’t know if I can do the cameras in the room. How would I fart?’” she laughed on the November 26 episode of Scheananigans.
After Scheana mentioned the fact that she recently got over COVID-19, Ariana said she dealt with the virus over the summer, following the conclusion of filming on season nine.
“I had COVID also, at the end of July. And when I did the questions with the CDC people, they were asking me things like, do you have any fatigue and I was like, ‘Well, I have depression, so I’m always tired.’ And then they asked, ‘Do you have respiratory [issues]?’ I was like, ‘Well I have asthma, so I always have that,’” Ariana recalled. “So honestly, it’s really hard for me to know what’s COVID symptoms and what’s normal.”
Although Ariana was initially unsure of her diagnosis, she said she “did have symptoms when suffering from the Delta variant.”
“I’m vaccinated, so it wasn’t that bad but it was like the first two days, I was tired, congested. I lost my taste and smell for weeks, months maybe,” she shared.
As for her role in the 2022 wedding of Scheana and Brock, who got engaged in July, Ariana revealed she’ll act as one of her longtime friend’s bridesmaids.
“We did set a date. It is next year,” Scheana shared.
As Pump Rules fans will recall, Ariana also acted as a bridesmaid in the July 2014 wedding of Scheana and first husband Mike Shay.
