Dr. Jen Armstrong is being faced with an investigation as her debut season on The Real Housewives of Orange County comes to a close.
Following a couple of medical malpractice lawsuits, one of which came after Jen allegedly left a patient with a “disfigured face,” and another based on supposed medical battery, past patients of Jen have received letters requesting their medical records.
“[Dr. Jen Armstrong] is being investigated by the [California Health Quality Investigation Unit],” Bravo Boo revealed on Instagram on March 15. “Official letters were sent out to all of her patients!”
In the accompanying letter, the organization wrote to past patients, “The Division of Investigation is reviewing the quality of care provided to you by Jennifer Armstrong, M.D. … Your cooperation is requested by completing and signing and dating the enclosed Authorization for Release of Medical Information form, and returning it in the enclosed, self-addressed, stamped envelope within 10 calendar days from the date of this letter.”
The organization noted that if the given releases weren’t signed and received by the deadline, they would be further pursuing Jen’s patients’ medical records by way of a subpoena.
“Please read the release form(s) and the enclosed Consumer Information About Release of Medical Information to understand how your medical records will be used, and how your right to privacy will be protected,” they continued. “By assisting the Division of Investigation you will be providing a valuable service to all health care consumers in California. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.”
In addition to the legal matters mentioned, Jen was recently targeted with a lawsuit from Forever Ageless, who claimed the RHOC star owed them $103,923.05 for medical products given to Jen from August 2017 to January 2019. She has also been on the opposite side of things, having sued an ex-employee for allegedly launching a “calculated campaign” to damage her image and suggesting she works under the influence.
“[Sylvia Nuttall] made false reports about Armstrong to regulatory agencies and licensing boards, including the California Medical Board, alleging that Armstrong engages in unprofessional conduct, including using unlawful filler and working under the influence of drugs, resulting in the California Medical Board investigating these false allegations,” her case alleged.
