Luann de Lesseps was accused of drunkenly offering a series of impromptu and unwelcome performances at a gay piano bar on Wednesday night, where she told upset patrons “f-ck you.” However, according to The Real Housewives of New York City cast member, she wasn’t kicked out of the venue.
After Luann visited Townhouse with Jim Kierstead, the Tony Award-winning producer of Kinky Boots, sources claimed the 56-year-old had arrived drunk and quickly became irate with patrons who weren’t happy that she wouldn’t give up the mic.
“She monopolized the piano, but that isn’t how it works; you sing [one song] and move on,” a source told Page Six on March 17. “Luann thought she was doing her act. She tried to sing [her own song] ‘Money Can’t Buy You Class,’ but they didn’t know it. They know standards.”
“The piano player was like, ‘I don’t know the song,’ and she responded, ‘It’s a hit!’” the insider continued of Luann’s track, which allegedly sold 19,000 digital copies.
The source went on to say that the liquored-up RHONY cast member wouldn’t stop “belting out jumbled versions of songs” as the night continued, and ultimately, the crowd, which included drag queens Tiffany Anne Coke, Shiny Penny, Lauren Ordair, and Chandilier, “began booing her.”
Another insider shared that Luann was “yelling at the gays, ‘You don’t know me! I’m a cabaret star!‘” She “yelled at the other patrons on the microphone” and then was “thrown out for getting aggressive with the bar’s customers.”
Amid the claims, Luann, who has faced sobriety concerns in the past, told Page Six that after rehearsing for her upcoming cabaret show at Feinstein’s/54 Below, she went to dinner and was “drinking champagne.” Then, around 10:30 p.m., she allegedly showed up to Townhouse, where she “sang a few Broadway songs they were playing.”
“There were a bunch of people singing, and it was a fun, boisterous crowd,” she claimed. “I realize I was a little bit tipsy, but we were having fun, and it was getting late. I’d been rehearsing, and I was in the mood to sing a few songs. Then Jim said to me, ‘Lu, I have an early rehearsal,’ and then we left around midnight, 11:30 p.m.”
Luann’s friend, Jim, also denied Page Six’s account, saying Luann “was met by legions of her fans and was convinced to sing for them… She was the belle of the ball as usual.”
In a video shared by LoveAndyC on Twitter, Luann could be seen telling someone, “f-ck you,” before rambling about a “motherf-cker.”

In addition to sharing a statement with Page Six, Luann also sent an email to the Daily Mail.
“I went out and I was feeling all Jovani but clearly money can’t buy you class, especially with an audience who doesn’t appreciate my music,” Luann wrote. “But I live to see another day — chic cest la vie! Long live fun nights out in New York City.”
Luann’s alleged drunken display at Townhouse comes just months after she was accused of dining and dashing in Washington, D.C., which she also denied.
