Sutton Stracke looked back on her “insensitive” reaction to the news of Dorit Kemsley‘s home invasion.
In addition to discussing where she and Lisa Rinna stand amid their ongoing Elton John party drama, looking back on being “bamboozled” by Erika Jayne on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 11, and revealing if she was caught in the middle of Crystal Kung-Minkoff and Garcelle Beauvais‘ feud, Sutton explained why she appeared to not care that Dorit was robbed at gunpoint.
“I had had a very strange morning and day and I didn’t know a lot about what was going on so I didn’t know the severity. I didn’t really quite understand and my mindset wasn’t there. So I was being insensitive,” Sutton admitted during a May 25 interview with Us Weekly.
According to Sutton, her reaction would have been different had she been with Dorit.
“It would have been a different situation and I’m sorry that didn’t happen. I just feel really terrible about the whole thing and that feelings get hurt… I take things really seriously and always want to be there for my friends when they need me and I was not in this moment and I don’t feel good about it,” Sutton shared.
As for where she and Dorit stand today, Sutton said fans will see their relationship play out throughout RHOBH season 12.
“I really adore her and it’s been so fun getting to know her. I love spending one-on-one time with her. I’ve loved getting to know [Paul “PK” Kemsley] more… He’s so funny and [to] see her children, they’re a great family and I just would never want anything bad to happen to them at all,” Sutton continued. “In this instance, I was wrong.”
While Sutton and Lisa’s feud over who actually invited Lisa to Elton John’s Oscar party in 2019 has been making headlines for weeks, Sutton said she missed Lisa’s latest digs because she had a “very busy” week and insisted the two of them are friends.
“People think I’m crazy but I think we’re friends,” Sutton confessed.
Moving onto her issues with Erika, which were in full swing throughout season 11, Sutton said she wasn’t nervous to be reunited with her castmate for filming on season 12.
“I stayed out of [Erika’s legal drama] cuz I already did it. If you weren’t listening the first season, last season, catch it again this season. I just don’t have to do the talking. I already did it,” she revealed. “I said what I needed to say last season and that was right. And I will always be right on that.”
After noting that she went into the season in a place of “indifference” toward Erika, Sutton recalled being caught off-guard by Erika amid season 11.
“Last year she bamboozled me when I thought we were in a good place. So who knows what she’s saying behind my back this season. So we’re gonna see,” Sutton teased.
In one of the more surprising feuds of season 12, Crystal and Garcelle were seen at odds in the trailer.
Luckily, Sutton was “never in the middle” of their seemingly since-ended drama.
“The three of us had to work some things out and we have some pretty deep discussions about some serious issues,” Sutton shared. “We do get to really explore and it makes your relationship deeper and I think we came out of it… But the journey, it might be very interesting to watch.”
Also during the interview, Sutton was asked what she was looking forward to fans seeing on the new episodes.
“I always love when I get to see my children. That’s the best part,” she confirmed. “I filmed with my middle son. You never know what they’re going to do [in editing]. So that was fun. It would be nice to introduce him because, all my children are special, but he’s such a little gem and I got to film with Porter, my daughter, a little bit more. She came home from college so we had some time with her.”
