Lilly Ghalichi and her husband, Dara Mir, welcomed their second child on Friday.
Nearly four years after welcoming their first child, daughter Alara, the Shahs of Sunset alum, who wed Dara in May 2017 and briefly split from him in 2019 and 2020, announced the birth of her baby boy on Instagram. She also shared a series of photos of the child and a shout-out to former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak, who helped her choose his name.
“Kashton Mir … born 6/24/22. Mom and Dad are so in love with you, your big sister adores you, and the World is ready to welcome you ‘Kash-Mir!'” Lilly wrote on June 27.
She also confirmed she had been diagnosed with early-onset HELLP Syndrome, which Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay also dealt with while pregnant with her daughter, Summer Moon Honey Davies.
“Thankful to have baby delivered safely by [Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi] after our team of amazing doctors recognized the early onset of [HELLP] Syndrome, something I had never heard of but is life threatening- we are so grateful,” Lilly stated.
In a second post, Lilly added, “We have never felt more complete as we do with you in our family.”
In addition to the slideshows shared on her main Instagram page, Lilly also took to her Story to speak about her son, revealing that Kim had a hand in the selection of his name.
“[Shout] out to my friend [Kim Zolciak] for helping us think of his name – when I was pregnant with Alara she told me – OMG if it’s a boy name him Kash and his name will be ‘Kashmir.’ Well it was a girl, but this time we had a boy so we took her idea and my husband came up with ‘Kashton’ from there!” Lilly shared.
And in a post of her own, Kim added, “Haha OMG!!! Congrats momma!!!”
Bravo announced earlier this year that Shahs of Sunset would not be returning for a 10th season.
