Raquel Leviss‘ rumored romance with Tom Schwartz has allegedly caused friction between him and his estranged wife, Katie Maloney.
Following reports claiming Raquel and Tom were caught getting “cozy” during a “Welcome White Party” ahead of Scheana Shay and Brock Davies‘ wedding on Tuesday, the Vanderpump Rules cast member, who split from ex-fiancé James Kennedy late last year, is being accused of throwing a wrench into Tom and Katie’s previously friendly dynamic.
On August 25, a source revealed to E! News that Tom and Raquel have been getting closer, much to the dismay of Katie, who is now reportedly experiencing “tension” with Tom.
As Pump Rules fans will recall, Raquel and Tom were first linked months ago, when a report suggested the two of them made out at Coachella. And after shutting down the report on Scheana’s podcast, Scheananigans, in July, Tom fueled rumors of a potential romance after Scheana revealed that Raquel had told her, in response to the false rumor, that said she and Tom hadn’t made out “yet.”
“I don’t know what to say. She said that?” he asked. “Raquel is, she was always cool… She has so much depth and character. I think I wrote her off as maybe… Raquel is like, there is a Raquelessaince… She is cool as sh-t.”
Then, just weeks later, on the August 19 episode of Katie’s podcast, You’re Gonna Love Me, Tom said that while he is not exactly “happier than [he’s] ever been,” he’s “optimistic and grateful” for the friendship that remained between him and Katie.
“I’m happy that we’re still close,” Tom shared. “I think relatively speaking, we’ve done a damn good job divorcing each other.”
As for Katie, she also spoke of the civil nature of their relationship.
“We do see each other, but we were family for, you know, many, many, many years,” Katie explained. “And that’s been a priority to us, I think, throughout this entire process to maintain.”
Vanderpump Rules season 10 is currently in production and expected to begin airing on Bravo sometime in early 2023.
