Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton‘s relationship may be unsalvageable following what insiders describe as a “painful” and “shocking” Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion.
According to a recent report, the sisters have barely spoken in the weeks since filming the special, where they reportedly followed up their season 12 tension, which was prompted by Lisa Rinna‘s claims regarding Kathy’s Aspen meltdown, with some “really harsh words.”
On October 8, insiders told TMZ that Kyle and Kathy have had minimal communication with one another in recent weeks, exchanging nothing more than “a few” texts.
Although Kyle and Kathy have gone through a number of ups and downs over the past several years, some of which have been featured or discussed on RHOBH, the sources said that this time “feels different and way more personal.”
Regarding the RHOBH reunion taping in September, on-set insiders told TMZ that it was “painful” to see Kyle and Kathy reunite with each other on set, especially after weeks of buildup on both the show and in the press. They also noted that what Kyle and Kathy said and did at the taping was “so shocking it was hard to watch.”
As RHOBH fans well know, reunions typically serve as a setting to hash things out and move forward to the next season. But when it comes to this reunion, insiders have said that was not how things played out. Instead, after Kathy “unraveled” amid the taping, an “emotionally distraught” Kyle was torn “apart,” and she even stormed off the stage at one particular moment.
“Really harsh words” were exchanged, insiders shared.
While fans will have to wait and see what occurred between the sisters at the taping, things got ugly between them on Instagram on Friday night, with Kyle seemingly threatening to reveal something about Kathy after seeing that she’d questioned her reunion tears.
“Why is she upset and crying? I’m the one who [was] bullied and [persecuted] for 10 months! Just cruel and disgusting,” Kathy wrote in an October 7 comment.
“I don’t think you want me to explain why,” Kyle replied.
