Braunwyn Windham-Burke’s estranged husband, Sean Burke, isn’t on board with her request for primary custody of their kids.
In his November 28 response to the Real Housewives of Orange County alum’s divorce filing, Sean demanded the two of them share joint custody of their minor children, who include Jacob, 17, Caden, 9, Curren, 9, and Koa, 7, and he reacted to Braunwyn’s efforts to have him cover her legal bills.
According to court documents obtained by Radar Online on December 20, Sean filed his divorce response in the Orange County Superior Court, noting that he and Braunwyn married on January 30, 2000, and separated on October 13, 2022 — two years after Braunwyn revealed she is a lesbian and confirmed her since-ended relationship with a woman named Kris.
Sean, who also shares two adult children, Bella, 22, and Rowan, 20, with Braunwyn, cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason behind their split, and he requested both joint legal and joint physical custody of the younger bunch. Meanwhile, Braunwyn wants Sean to have visitation.
Although Sean agreed to pay spousal support to his estranged wife, he requested they split their attorney fees. As RHOC fans may recall, Braunwyn wants monthly support payments of $10,000 from Sean — and for him to pay her legal bills.
According to Braunwyn, who recently claimed she’s “unable to provide” for herself and her kids because Sean “stopped providing support,” noting that she had just $2,900 in her bank account, Sean makes $75,000 per month for his work with two companies.
As they continue to battle over the terms of their divorce, Braunwyn claims family is helping her pay for “basic living expenses and even expenses for our children.”
“I have relied on [Sean] for all financial security since I was 20 years old,” she explained in her own court documents. “I have relied on [Sean] to make all financial decisions for 23 years, and I have effectively been kept in the dark regarding the true extent of our business interests and assets.”
Sean did not comment on Braunwyn’s financial struggles or her allegations against him in his response.
