The Real Housewives of Miami star Lisa Hochstein is finally confirming that she is indeed dating entrepreneur Jody Glidden after months of speculation and public sightings. According to Lisa, he may even pop up at the RHOM season five reunion.
“I guess it’s sort of out of the bag,” Lisa recently told Entertainment Tonight. “Yeah, I’m dating. I’m dating this guy. He’s a great guy. He’s been super supportive of me … you may or may not see him at the reunion, but I don’t want to dive into that too much. We’ll just see how that unfolds.”
Lisa explained that she’s incredibly happy within her new relationship as she asserts it’s “different than what I’m used to” compared to her marriage with estranged husband Dr. Lenny Hochstein, with whom she’s currently embroiled in a nasty divorce battle.
“[He] has empathy, he cares,” Lisa explained to the outlet. “[He] wants to motivate me to do better, be my best. So, it’s a lot of things that I’m not used to dealing with or used to having from my previous relationship.”
Lisa says she’s lucky to have such a healthy relationship at this point in her life as she sees “no end in sight” for her contentious divorce from Lenny, comparing the ordeal to the likes of “death.”
“This was the darkest time of my life,” Lisa admitted. “Compare it to a death, or worse; probably worse. A lot of people do say that it’s almost worse than a death, depending on how amicable or not your divorce is, and mine is definitely not amicable at this point.”
RHOM viewers know full well that Lenny was caught in a hot mic moment, where he declared that he was unhappy in his marriage to Lisa. Soon after dropping the “bombshell” news on the RHOM star, he quickly stepped out with model Katharina Mazepa. After a public war, Lisa says she has no intention of giving Katharina any more attention.
“I don’t know if I want to give this individual any more attention, because it seems as though that’s what she wants,” Lisa stated. “So, I’d rather not talk about her, or that person… whoever that person may be.”
In a shocking revelation, Lisa says that Lenny’s admission of being unsatisfied in their marriage was in stark contrast to the words he was spewing to her just two weeks earlier as she claims he was talking of wanting more children.
“Look, a couple of weeks before [he asked for a divorce], we had a dinner off-camera with some friends, and he was asking me for a whole new baby!” Lisa revealed. “He was asking me for a third child, so I certainly didn’t think that I was headed for divorce, because how does that work? You’re asking for a new for addition to the family, but yet you want a divorce two weeks later?”
Lisa also clapped back at Lenny’s accusations that she treated him like a “servant” during their marriage. The Bravo personality claims that she joined RHOM to “promote” Lenny’s medical practice, and she now wants what’s “rightfully” hers.
“I think that is completely inaccurate,” Lisa said. “My entire relationship with Lenny, I’ve always tried to please him and be the best wife I could. We signed up for the show 10 or 11 years ago, with the understanding that I would help promote his business and that’s what I did for the last 15 years.”
“I thought, this was benefiting both of us,” she continued. “And now, here we are divorcing, and now I’m really just fighting for what I worked for. I’m fighting for what I helped him achieve.”
Lisa also took time to preview the drama that’s come on the upcoming season five reunion of RHOM.
“It was very long, there was a lot of yelling,” Lisa recalled. “It was hard to get a word in, Andy [Cohen] was super frustrated. He had to intercept so many on so many occasions during that day, because no one would let anyone else talk.”
“This one was really bad,” she continued. “You know, after filming ended and the last nine months, that was difficult, because no one really knew about these things, and there was a lot of focus on that. And that’s hard to relive and talk about. There’s things that I don’t want out there, but it’s too late. Like, people get a hold of these things, and I have to address them.”
Going forward, Lisa told the outlet that fans should get ready to see “Lisa 2.0” in the near future.
“There’s a lot of conversations, there’s a lot of things in the works,” she teased. “But you’re going to have to tune into next season [of RHOM] to see all of the things I’m working on. But this is going to be Lisa 2.0, and instead of promoting Lenny for the last 15 years, I’m going to be promoting myself. Finally.”
Season five of The Real Housewives of Miami is available to stream now on Peacock.
