Kim Kardashian Praises Tristan as a "Good" Dad, Says He "Stepped Up" for Her Kids as Jordan Craig's Sister Claims He "Ignores" Son Prince and Doesn't Pay Child Support

Kim Kardashian applauded Tristan Thompson for being a “good” father and amazing friend on Thursday’s new episode of The Kardashians.

After Kim, 42, described Tristan, 32, as “decent” and revealed he stepped up for her own kids, attending sporting events and taking them to dinner, Kim was met with major backlash from the sister of Jordan Craig, 32, who shares six-year-old Prince with Khloe Kardashian‘s ex.

“It has been so hard to refrain from speaking up, and out of respect for my sister’s privacy I haven’t for over [seven] years, but this is just too much,” Kai Craig began in a post shared after the episode aired, via The Neighborhood Talk. “It’s so painful to see how Tristan can find the time to do these nice things for others but can’t seem to show up and be a real parent for my nephew Prince. The fact that he can take other children to school and activities in the same city, yet never sees or speaks to his own son, unless it’s for a party or planned photo opportunity, is appalling and inexcusable.”

In a message directly to Kim, who revealed Tristan has had her back amid her ongoing drama with ex-husband Kanye West, 46, the father of her four children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, Kai suggested her remarks were “insensitive” toward kids Tristan shares with Jordan and his other ex, Maralee Nichols.

“[Kim Kardashian], I don’t want to believe that you are this insensitive to the fact that he literally ignores his children. That’s nice if he’s been a good friend to you, but let’s consider our sisters before taking to global platforms to defend this man’s character.”

As fans of The Kardashians well know, Tristan shares two children, five-year-old True and one-year-old Tatum, with Khloe.

“On another note, to set the record straight, the child support rumors are INACCURATE! Tristan has not paid that child support in a very long time and has stopped paying Prince’s school tuition,” Kai continued. “Yet he’s being applauded for pickup up/dropping off other kids to school/activities. He hasn’t even inquired where Prince goes to school now. Despite it all, my sister continues to work multiple jobs as she has since she was 16-years-old, so that Prince will never have to feel a difference. But regardless, stepping up for your son is not all about money it’s about the time spent.”

“[Tristan Thompson],” she concluded, “you are NOT a good father if you can’t be a good father to ALL of your children.”

During Thursday’s episode of The Kardashians, via a clip shared by The Neighborhood Talk on Instagram, Kim explained why she has remained friendly with Tristan, despite his past cheating on Khloe.

“I know you guys are gonna hate me for this and you’re gonna hate us and you’re gonna think Khloe’s whatever. It’s so crazy because he’s such a good friend and he’s such a good, like, dad but he just couldn’t get it together in that area of, like, being a faithful boyfriend. So it’s like you wanna, obviously, hate him for that. Yeah, of course, his actions and who he was, like, so f*cked up. Like I can’t deny that and we’ve had our talks about it and we’ve had our fights about it and we’ve had our arguments about it, but he’s also shown so many decent things,” Kim revealed.

“[He] just has been a really good person and friend. When he saw me struggling with my kids, he stepped up. He started showing up to the games. He picked Saint up. Takes them to dinner and will always come to my defense, especially if it’s stuff with me and my ex and I just never forgot that,” she continued. “So it’s like, I’ll never really throw someone away and act like I feel like they can’t grow and evolve.”

New episodes of The Kardashians season four begin streaming every Thursday on Hulu.
