Tarek El Moussa and his wife, Heather El Moussa, are speaking out about the recent split between Christina Hall and Joshua Hall, whom they were set to star alongside in HGTV’s upcoming series, The Flip Off.

Days after it was revealed that Christina, 41, and Josh, 44, had filed for divorce, Tarek, 42, and Heather, 36, reacted to the couple’s breakup as they confirmed that despite the unexpected split, their new show will continue.

“[It will be] us against her … But we support her,” Heather told E! News on July 23.

“[Christina will] get through this,” Tarek added. “Life’s tough, sh*t happens. We got one shot at life and we gotta do what’s best for us, so whatever she needs, we’re here to help.”

Christina and Tarek were married from 2009 to 2018 and share two children, daughter Taylor, 13, and son Brayden, 8, who Heather is helping co-parent.

“We do like to gang up on him,” Heather admitted of herself and Christina as Tarek noted, “It’ll be the girls against me” on The Flip Off.

“Interactions were fairly limited on camera,” he continued of the new series, stating that he wasn’t sure how the show would address Christina and Josh’s divorce. “There’s a lot of really funny scenes though. The show’s going to be a lot of fun.”

Earlier this month, Christina filed for divorce, citing July 7 as their date of separation as Josh claimed it was one day later and requested spousal support and for the assets they accrued amid their marriage, including their home in Newport Beach, California, to be equally divided.

In Christina’s court documents, she asked the court to block Josh from collecting alimony and for the splitting of their assets to be determined at a later date.

While Christina’s marriage to Josh came to an end just three years after they went public, a source has suggested that she and Josh tried to save their marriage before calling it quits.

“Christina and Joshua just weren’t on the same page anymore,” an insider told Life & Style on July 19. “She really tried to make this marriage work, but it wasn’t happening.”

“The last thing she wanted was to be divorced for the third time,” the source added. “That was never on her vision board.”

The Flip Off is set to premiere on HGTV sometime in 2025.
