Jeff Lewis was called out by his ex-boyfriend, Gage Edward, on Friday after sharing a photo of Monroe on his Instagram Story.

Over five years after the former couple called it quits, Gage, 40, lashed out at the 54-year-old Flipping Out alum, slamming Jeff as “pathetic” after he posted a photo of their 7-year-old daughter Monroe, whom they welcomed via surrogate in 2016, on his account.

“Thank you for the gorgeous bag,” Jeff captioned the September 6 post, which featured Monroe in a white dress, holding a handbag designed by KIM CIG.

Hours later, Gage took to his own Instagram Story, where he shared a very stern message about his former boyfriend in a since-deleted post.

“I think it’s pathetic when someone posts their 7-year-old daughter on IG for 800,000 people to see … Seeking attention at the expense of a minor’s privacy … It’s almost like she’s an accessory,” he had written.

Since splitting in 2019, Jeff and Gage have been locked in a messy custody dispute over their daughter and have feuded with one another on and off, both privately and publicly.

In 2022, after Jeff said one year prior that the two of them had “started to heal” on an episode of his SiriusXM Radio show, Jeff Lewis Live, noting that they were “becoming friends” and had “no more anger” or “resentment” toward one another, he shared another positive update on their co-parenting relationship.

“When he’s happy, it’s easier to co-parent with him. I don’t know [if he’d say the same about me]. But it was good. We didn’t have any issues,” Jeff revealed, also on his radio show. “I asked him if I could take her for a week to New York. He said, ‘Yes.’ We’re working really well together.”

Sadly, earlier this year, things had taken a turn for the worse between them as Jeff attempted to arrange a spring break vacation for himself and Monroe.

“I’m a hostage. I’m in handcuffs,” Jeff explained. “It’s a bit contentious. We have to communicate on our family wizard, which is this app, and then we also have to communicate through our attorneys.”
