Whitney Fransway addressed her lingering tension with her In the City co-star, Lindsay Hubbard, on Kaitlyn Bristowe‘s podcast on Tuesday.
As Lindsay, 40, called out her “fake” reunion apology and accused her of talking about her “nonstop,” Whitney, 35, who feuded with Lindsay throughout the debut season of the Summer House spinoff, along with her boyfriend, Kenny Martin, 42, over a “single mom” comment, admitted that when it came to the two of them, there was more than just “tension” with Lindsay and suggested it was Lindsay who was keeping them from making amends.
“I don’t want to have beef or fight with anyone and so I just, it’s a little, um, not upsetting, I guess I could say upsetting that like, you know, you just can’t have a conversation to move past something. I’m like, so hopeful that maybe we can do that but it’s just like, in a rocky place,” Whitney explained on the August 25 episode of Off the Vine With Kaitlyn Bristowe.

As In the City fans will recall, Whitney came under fire after suggesting that Lindsay had used the “single mom card” to get a better room amid a cast trip. Then, at the reunion, Lindsay said she cried for “six months” over the shade. But in response, Whitney said on the Morally Corrupt podcast that she didn’t believe her co-star shed tears.
Whitney also stood by her comment, although she admitted to having regrets about “how it landed.”
“It was just things like that that I had seen, and I finally decided to stand up for what I felt was right. I knew it wasn’t going to be an agreed-upon position, but I still stand by what my intent was,” she said, giving a nod to her efforts to secure a better room for Yvonne Najor and Nick Barber, who were celebrating their wedding.
Following Whitney’s appearance on Morally Corrupt, Lindsay fired back at her suggestion that she didn’t actually cry over the “single mom” comment on Instagram.
“When I say I cried for 6 months, I did,” she wrote. “Because that means I am owning an extremely vulnerable time in my life. … while also dealing with all of these other outside factors, and yet I never complained or spoke about being a ‘single’ mom. I said ‘we are two moms away from our kids for the 1st time in a while.’”
Meanwhile, in response to Whitney’s latest comments on Kaitlyn’s podcast, Lindsay took to the comments section to accuse Whitney of an insincere apology and “nonstop” chatter.
“Idk, call me crazy, but maybe don’t fake apologize to me at the reunion for an insensitive comment, and then go on an endless podcast tour for months and months tripling down on your comment, and talking about me literally nonstop,” she declared.
Kenny has also spoken out about Lindsay, most recently shading her on Watch What Happens Live in July by suggesting she was acting like a “victim” over Whitney’s “single mom card” statement.
“There’s nobody in this world that doesn’t like a mother. I think her intentions were more about the opportunity to put a friend first. That didn’t happen. And all of a sudden, we’re doing this merry-go-round all of a sudden, ‘Wait, shift the focus over here, I’m a victim,’ and then we kind of went down a different spiral,” he recalled.
