Bravo executives are said to be hard at work on Summer House, making sure that viewers’ interest in the series doesn’t die down following the exits of Amanda Batula, 34, and West Wilson, 31.
Years after Vanderpump Rules was faced with a full reboot due to the fallout of Tom Sandoval’s affair with Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, 31, producers are experimenting with new ideas for season 11.
According to a July 9 report from Page Six, one source mentioned crossover episodes with members of the casts of Southern Charm, Southern Hospitality, and Next Gen NYC, including Salley Carson, 31, and Ava Dash, 26, both of whom Kyle Cooke, 43, has been linked to in recent months.
“There could be some fun crossovers if they are organic to the show,” one insider said. “[Kyle] has been seen around town kissing cast members from other shows.”
The insider also noted that Bravo “couldn’t be more excited” about Summer House‘s future. However, another source said that Pump Rules kept coming up in conversations behind the scenes as Summer House producers fear it could suffer the same fate as the show without West and Amanda.
If you recall, Tom’s affair with Raquel coined the ‘Scandoval’ saga, which ultimately led to the original Vanderpump Rules cast being fired after Ariana Madix requested to not film with Tom, and the cast couldn’t recover from the fractures within the group.
While the entire cast, minus Rachel, returned for one more season after the scandal, Bravo decided against bringing them back for season 11 — instead launching a Vanderpump Rules reboot with a new cast. Ultimately, the reboot flopped in ratings, although the network insisted the streaming views were good enough for another season.
While Ben Waddell, 39, has also exited the series, and rumors have suggested that KJ Dillard, 28, and Dara Levitan, 33, would also not be seen, KJ has since been spotted in the Hamptons, as has Carl Radke, 41, Jesse Solomon, 33, Mia Calabrese, 35, and Bailey Taylor, 30.
As for Lindsay Hubbard, 39, and Ciara Miller, 30, they are expected to be featured on season 11 as well, but likely in part-time roles.
Summer House season 11 is expected to go into production this weekend.
