Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent is opening up about her feud with actress Ambyr Childers, aka the ex-wife of her current boyfriend, director Randall Emmett.
On Friday, June 22, the Bravo reality star appeared on The Jenny McCarthy Show on SiriusXM Radio, during which she discussed her recent drama with Ambyr and threw some major shade her way. Lala also revealed how she met Randall, plus she dished on the new season of Pump Rules, including where she stands with James Kennedy today and touched on some cast drama!
First, Lala, 27, revealed she actually met Randall after auditioning for one of his movies.
“That’s how Rand and I met actually. He called my manager at the time and said we want to bring in Lala for one of these roles. So I went in. I did casting,” revealed Lala. “I met with Rand and his partner, the director. It took about two years for the film to come to fruition, and in that amount of time, Rand and I had become inseparable.”
She also admitted that Randall, 47, “spoils the s**t out of” her.
“The thing is like when I first met him and it was on like a very professional basis, he was sending me Chanel bags and shoes, and we had never done anything except have a meeting in the presence of other people so it wasn’t like I was asking for things,” she stated.
The topic then turned to her director beau’s ex-wife, Ambyr, who called out Lala for being a mistress earlier this year after Lala sent her some nasty text messages. Lala apparently sees herself as the victim in this feud, criticizing Ambyr for publicizing the text messages she sent to her.
“I don’t want to give her too much time,” said Lala about Ambyr, 29. “I look at things as I don’t really care what anyone else has to say. I only care what I have to say so I’m going to say my peace and then your response is probably going to get deleted. Like I’m probably not even going to read it. So, I said my peace and she wanted to take it to the streets.”
Lala added, “I just think I do a reality TV show, and I know when things should be made public and I know when things should not. And so I thought that was in very poor taste of her.”
Later on the interview, she went on to diss Ambyr, who also happens to be the mother of Randall’s two young daughters.
“I just have nothing really bad to say about her because I don’t know her. You know? I just know that she posted something that I sent privately and I think that speaks volumes about her character,” stated Lala. “So I’ve just learned my lesson and I don’t engage with people who have nothing to lose.”
Interesting dig there considering Ambyr has a much longer body of work than Lala, who is currently trying to become an actress. Amber also owns her own successful jewelry line, Ambyr Childers Jewelry, which has been worn by A-listers such as Jennifer Lawrence.

When asked how she gets along with Randall and Ambyr’s two young daughters, Lala revealed she has a great relationship with them.
“Oh my gosh, we’re thick as thieves,” said Lala. “Like I don’t have to discipline them. The oldest one, she’s 8, and she’s like totally my type of chick. Like she wants to wear high heels.”
Lala also spoke more about her relationship with Randall, revealing he actually asked her dad for permission to marry her before he sadly passed away earlier this year.
“My mom told me that Rand had asked my Dad for my hand, before he passed away, over the phone,” she shared, before getting very emotional. “So that makes me so happy because I’m struggling with the fact that like I won’t have a dad to see me like have babies, get married, so that just means a lot to me that Rand did that before he passed.”
Lala also teased what we can expect on the next season of Vanderpump Rules, which just started filming late last month. For starters, when it comes to her relationship with James, she made it clear things are still icy between them despite seemingly making up at the reunion.
“I just feel like if you come for someone who is family, it’s really hard for me to shake it off and most likely I won’t. So I would say our relationship friendship is non-existent,” explained Lala. “I just think that it happens so often with James, like if he messed up and then apologized and it didn’t happen over and over again, I’d be great. But it’s like mess up, apologize, do the same thing, apologize, and it just keeps happening. It never stops. At this point, I’d be a dummy to like keep hanging out with him.”
When asked about her castmates Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor’s recent engagement, Lala actually voiced her support for the couple, even stating that she doesn’t buy into the popular saying of once a cheater, always a cheater. “No, I don’t think a cheater is always a cheater at all,” she said.
Lala added that she has yet to receive an invitation to the couple’s wedding for good reason, as they have actually yet to pick a date. However, when that big day comes, she suspects James will be the only Pump Rules cast member not invited following his recent feud with Jax.
Other juicy bits from the interview include Lala’s revelation that she was actually a “good kid” growing up and didn’t lose her virginity until the age of 18, and never drank alcohol while underage. Speaking of alcohol, Lala also revealed she recently stopped drinking.
“I just don’t like who I am when I drink. I don’t think that alcohol and I mix very well,” admitted Lala. “I’ve always felt that way, but then, you know, I had a traumatic experience and it was like morning, from the second I woke up, till the second I went to bed… So I got to that point the day after Memorial Day and I was like no more.”
While she’s abstaining from drinking, she does dabble in marijuana which is legal in the state of California.
“However, I do smoke my weed,” shared Lala. “Totally legal.”
