Danielle Staub is no longer living with her estranged husband, Marty Caffrey, as a new report reveals the ways Danielle claims Marty’s been ‘tormenting’ her amid their messy divorce.
According to the report, police in Englewood, New Jersey recently removed Marty from the home he once shared with the Real Housewives of New Jersey star after responding to a call about a domestic disturbance on Thursday.
TMZ spoke to sources close to the situation who confirmed that while Marty was removed from the residence, he was not arrested, nor was he charged with a crime.
Prior to Marty’s removal from the home, Danielle sought a protective order against him, which was granted on Thursday. In her request, Danielle accused Marty of putting her through “emotional torment” but didn’t mention any physical threats. That said, Danielle reportedly believed her estranged husband was “toying” with her as they attempted to live together through their messy split.
As the report revealed, the reality star felt that Marty had loosened light bulbs, disconnected their power, and even cut off their hot water at times — just to get under her skin. Meanwhile, Marty denied any such thing and said he believes Danielle’s restraining order against him is ridiculous.
According to the report, Marty has another home he can live in as he and Danielle attempt to hash out their divorce in court but prefers to remain in their current home, where Danielle resides. As we have reported, the home is in Marty’s name only as he purchased it for $1.9 million months before marrying Danielle.
Danielle and Marty got married in May 2018 after dating for over a year. Four months later, he served her with divorce papers.
Although Marty has claimed Danielle is hoping to reconcile with him, sources close to her insisted that is not the case and revealed he’s allegedly turned down four offers to settle their divorce and put a quick and final end to their marriage.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey season nine airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV.
