What financial woes?
Just less than a month after a judge froze her bank account, amid a lawsuit claiming her husband Paul “PK” Kemsley failed to repay a million-dollar loan, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Dorit Kemsley just dropped nearly $7 million on a modern farmhouse home in Encino, California.
On August 16, Variety shared news of Dorit’s home purchase, confirming she spent $6.475 million on an all-new structure in an up and coming gated neighborhood in Los Angeles as she and PK continue to try and unload their current home in Beverly Hills.
As fans may know, Dorit and PK’s Beverly Hills home has been on the market for over two years and was initially listed for $12.75 million. Now, however, the price tag on the home, which the couple co-owns with nightlife mogul Sam Nazarian, is just under $7.5 million.
According to the report, Dorit’s new place is located a short distance away from the $8.25 million home owned by her RHOBH co-star, Kyle Richards, and her husband Mauricio Umansky, and features an all-white exterior, a three-car garage, and a pool in the backyard. Meanwhile, inside the home, which is situated on a .36-acre lot, is an open-concept floor plan.
The interior photos of Dorit’s new home are not available online as the home was never publicly listed for sale. Public records pulled up by Realty Blurb do show that the home was newly built and was just completed in June of this year. MLS records also show Dorit closed on the home on August 1.
News of Dorit’s new home comes just over a week after an insider revealed to Hollywood Life that the reality star and her husband were trying to live their lives “as normal as possible,” despite their legal woes.
“They haven’t altered their life or lifestyle one bit,” the source said.
“They’re telling friends they believe everything will get dropped and have done nothing wrong,” the source continued. “No matter what, they are remaining a united front when dealing with everything. Their marriage is really, really strong.”
Dorit and PK are currently due back in court on September 5, during which a judge will determine whether or not to release their seized bank account or turn it over to the man who is accusing PK of owing him money.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 10 is set to begin production soon.
