In a text message sent to her husband, Ryan, the former Real Housewives of Orange County cast member and daughter of Vicki Gunvalson revealed that after experiencing symptoms that appear to be in alignment with that of the coronavirus, she was sent home from the North Carolina hospital where she works as a nurse.
“I started coughing bad at work this morning and was short of breath. They put me on a 14 day quarantine and sent me home. I have to call occupational health in the morning to follow up and see what’s next. No fever yet but I have chills. I’m going to sleep upstairs and probably will have to stay away from you guys as much as possible until I know more,” Briana wrote in her March 25 text.
Briana and Ryan share two children, sons Troy and Owen, and if she has contracted COVID-19, she will likely want to stay far away from them so that they do not catch it from her, if they haven’t already.
In the caption of his post, Ryan said that his wife’s text was one he’d been dreading.
“Woke up to the text every medical family dreads this morning. Guys please take these warnings a little more seriously it’s not just your family you’re putting at risk!” he told his online audience. “Not looking for sympathy just trying to raise awareness. Please keep Briana in your thoughts and prayers!”

Last week, Ryan revealed that Briana had worked four out of five nights in the emergency room amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Although having the illness would certainly be terrifying for Briana and her family, especially due to her Lupus diagnosis, which likely makes her more susceptible to COVID-19, her health has improved in recent years as she and her husband have been following the Keto diet and lost a substantial about of weight.
