Lisa Rinna Insists She Didn’t “Force” Daughter to Appear on RHOBH Amid Backlash as She Claps Back Again and Tells Her Haters to “Chill”

Lisa Rinna is fighting back after being accused of forcing her 19-year-old daughter, Amelia Hamlin, to film scenes for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

After first defending her daughter against claims of faking anorexia for a storyline on the show, Lisa returned to her Instagram Stories, where she confirmed she does not “force anyone to do anything” before encouraging her online haters to “chill.” She also lashed out at the always complaining “Karens” who have criticized her for supposedly making her adult daughter do something she does not want to do.

“I may do a lot of things but I don’t force anyone to do anything. So chill,” Lisa wrote in her first post.

Then, in a second Stories message, Lisa added, “KAREN.”

Meanwhile, Lisa received some backlash from fans who took to social media to call her out.

This is not surprising, but it is very sad,” said one person on Twitter.

Amelia publicly came out today saying that Rinna forced her to be on housewives, meaning Rinna forced her to open up about her eating disorder? She’s quick to call Garcelle tacky but… Forcing your daughter on a show to benefit your storyline is more tacky then anything,” another person wrote.

Rinna got to her Instagram. Poor Amelia,” tweeted a different fan of the show regarding Amelia’s decision to take back what she said.

In a post shared on Amelia’s Instagram Stories earlier this week, she claimed her mom Lisa has been making her appear on the show against her will after being accused of lying about her eating disorder.

“I seriously can’t believe I’m being accused of lying about my anorexia to get more ‘air time’ sorry but I’m forced to be on the Housewives by my mom,” she alleged. “Ask anyone it’s the last thing I want to do. I couldn’t care less about air time.”

In response, Lisa posted a couple of comments about her daughter’s statement.

“I signed up to do a reality show and this was happening while we were filming. We did not hide it. Amelia has helped so many by sharing her story,” Lisa wrote to her fans and followers on July 20.

A day after Amelia’s posts received a ton of media coverage, she returned to her Instagram Stories and backtracked on her earlier claims. She said her mom simply ‘encourages’ her to do the show and also called her an “amazing” mother.

In April 2018, Amelia went public with her anorexia battle in a post shared on her Instagram page. And, at the time, she claimed she was grateful for the platform she has to help others.
