Erika Jayne Thinks Husband Thomas Girardi Was Cheating on Her, Source Reveals RHOBH Star's "Breaking Point" After Trying to Make Marriage Work

Amid a slew of speculation around her impending divorce, a source reveals Erika Jayne suspects her estranged husband, Thomas Girardi, cheated on her numerous times during their 21-year marriage.

Although many have suspected the couple was putting on a “sham divorce” as a diversion away from Tom’s numerous lawsuits, embezzlement claims, and involuntary bankruptcy, an insider is insisting that Tom’s infidelity is the real reason for the separation.

“The reason she divorced Tom is because he was cheating on her with multiple women,” a source close to the couple told PEOPLE, adding that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star “[knew] about his infidelity for years” but “wanted to try and save the marriage.”

The source went on, “When she was performing her last week on Broadway, he left her high and dry and was frolicking around town instead of supporting her and attending her shows. She realized she would never be a priority to him and that was her breaking point.”

The insider added that the divorce was “a long time coming” and that the multiple lawsuits “just coincided with her decision to leave him.”

The report comes on the heels of a myriad of lawsuits filed against the RHOBH star’s ex as well as the freezing of his law firm’s assets after being held in contempt for $2 million from a settlement fund meant for the widows and orphans of plane crash victims. The suit claimed Thomas used the money to fund his and Erika’s lavish lifestyle (a lifestyle the “XXpen$ive” singer is currently trying to sell off on the luxury marketplace).

Tom was also reportedly secretly hospitalized for a “serious illness” after the lawsuits were filed, and it was revealed in court he was away from his firm for several weeks due to the hospitalization.
